Avena sat beside the water and watched the waves, shivering in the wind.

Rylan walked along the beach, hands in his pockets, watching the waves. There was a gentle breeze, loosening his dark hair.
Avena looked up and saw the boy, "hey." she said quietly as he drew closer.
Rylan looked up, startled out of his thoughts. When he saw the girl, he gave a nod. "Hi," he replied.
She smiled warmly as she did with everyone she met, "I'm Avena," she said, her voice soft, "Sif's daughter."
Avena grinned, "Well hello then, brother."
Elsa walked onto the beach, her brown hair flowing gently in the breeze. She sat on the warm sand and watched the gentle waves lap the shore. She smiled softly as the sun warmed her face.
He ran a hand through his hair. "Fancy meeting you here, sister," Rylan replied in a mocking formal tone.
She laughed quietly and gestured for him to sit beside her, "I suppose we have some catching up to do."
Willow didn't care that she wasn't in a swimming suit she wadded into the water slowly. She laughed, it was freezing.
"Four years, " she replied, "ever since my father died. I grew up on a farm..."
"Sorry about that. But a farm sounds like a nice place to grow up. I grew up in the suburbs," he said, trying to lighten the mood.
Avena nodded, "How long have you been here?" she asked
He shrugged. "Only two years. Not much experience on my part," Rylan answered, somewhat embarrassed by his lack of it.
Avena smiled warmly, "how old are you?" she asked, curious.
"Fifteen." she replied, feeling young.
"Funny you've been here longer than me and yet I'm older than you," Rylan commented, smiling kindly.
Avena shrugged, "Yeah," she replied, "It's been a good few years.
Willow started to climb out of the water. She saw people, some one dates, others unknown. She saw her friend, Elsa, but decided not to say hi. If Elsa wanted to talk she would walk over to her. Willow had a really good view of camp, she smiled. She thought about how much she loved camp. She keeped walking, waved to a few people and sat down on the beach. She finally found a home and a place she belong in, or maybe it had always been that way and she just noticed.
Avena sat back, "The scenery, and the nice people." she replied
Elsa stood and walked closer to the water. She waded in up to her knees and then stopped, letting the breeze blow her hair as she watched the clear water.
Anna walked out to the beach. She could swim in the water, because she was a daughter of Ran. She liked cold water actually. It was fun, it soothed her. She started down the beach. She decided not to go into the water, yet. She walked quietly along the slippery rocks. One of the rocks gave way, sending her into the water with a yelp.
Avena stood and looked out into the water, hearing a yelp.
Anna broke the top of the water, shaking out her hair. She smiled at the people watching her. "Its okay." She yelled, before diving back under the frigid water. She slowly opened her eyes to reveal an underwater beauty. She swam faster, loving the feel of water on her body.
Avena relaxed and sat back down beside her brother.
((Sorry, been busy.))Rylan gave a wave, smiling a greeting. He glanced over to his sister. "It's strange meeting everyone here. So many people can do so many cool things."
Avena grinned, "Yeah... Hey what powers did you inherit from mum? Hmm?"
She nodded, "Same, pretty much. And I specialize in wheat." she laughed harshly, "veeeery helpful."
Anna swam silently under the water. She broke the surface to take a quick breath, then went bakc under the water.
Elsa stood knee deep in the water for a few moments, until her feet went numb, and then walked back to dry land.
Aldri wandered onto the beach carrying his longsword and a sharpening stone. He sat down and started sharpening the sword with long strokes. He stared out across the lake at the far mountains to the east. The sun stood at its peak and gave some warmth in the slightly cold Norwegian air.
Rylan wanted to question her tone, but he decided to let it slide. After all, it wasn't his business. He looked out at the sea for a couple minutes, before sighing and getting to his feet. "I'm getting kind of hungry. You want to come with?"
Avena smiled, "Sure." she replied, standing and reaching her hands up over her head, stretching.
((You mean Avena?))He started walking, hands in his pockets. "What plants do you like? I like growing everything. I actually have a garden at home," Rylan added, blushing.
Avena smiled, "I grow what I feel, I guess... If I'm happy, I grow sunflowers. If I'm sad, I tend to grow moss, or bluebells." she laughed, "but mostly, I just grow wheat."
Avena smiled, "I adore roses. Yellow ones are my favorite..." she mused
She sighed dreamily, "Lovely."
He laughed at himself lightly. "You're the only person I can talk to about flowers and plants and not made fun of. At school I got laughed at a lot."
Avena smiled, "That's what sisters are for, hmm?"
Rylan wanted to wrap an arm around her shoulder in a brotherly way, but since he didn't want to be too forward he settled on patting her shoulder. "Indeed. I wonder what brother's are for, then."
Avena smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder, "That is yet to be seen."
