@ Judy: That seems to have been published in the '70s and therefore likely doesn't qualify as a "classic" according to our (admittedly somewhat nebulous) rules. Would you like to nominate something else instead?

Oh dear, so conflicted over what I want to nominate. So I will go with the one that I think would generate interesting discussion. On War by Carl von Clausewitz

Judy wrote: "Side read sounds good for Angle of Repose and I'd be happy to lead it, too. :-)"Lets look at it as a side read...can you message me a schedule? I'll approve the schedule and then we can post it as a side read!
For schedules we usually look at about 50 pages per week, but break the sections at chapters(k, I know I sound dumb there...). Write it out with dates (beginning and weekly) and then I will approve (or adjust) and post it up for everyone to get in on!
Yay!

me too, I don't think I can do it alone, I need you guys :)
Ack, Judy, sorry to keep doing this to you, but it seems that the vast majority of editions of Winesburg, Ohio are 260 pages or less. There is some wiggle room in how long the books have to be (i.e. if one edition is 450 pages and one 550), but seeing that most editions of this novel are quite short, I don't think it qualifies as a Chunkster.
Nah, she's a softie...and the's why we love her! Just like me, she hates being the bearer of bad news...
All, please remember to revisit the poll as we get closer to the deadline. The top four are all very close, and with how close they are, we might need a run-off poll. If you want to change your vote, now is the time to do it.
Wow, it is a Russian book. I believe I have to squeeze in this exploration of controversial human psyche into my reading schedule:-)
Looking forward to re-reading BK - one of my favorites when I read it in my 20s. 30 years later, though, it takes a bit of a push to get me to pick it up again! So thanks for the nudge, group-mates!Is it just my imagination, or is everybody here also a member of Readers Review, 1800-1910?
@ Bob: I still am, technically, though I haven't read anything with the group over there since Oliver Twist at the very end of last year.
