Where did I get my inspiration for Gibber Will? I know exactly where. My husband and I were in Edinburgh, Scotland last March for the World Cross Country Championships at Holyrood Park. (Which were amazing, by the way. I got to see Bekele run. Again. And win. Again.)
Well, there was a man standing in the covered bleachers a few rows above me. As everyone got ready to leave he caught my eye. I'd never seen such a happy face. The amazing thing is, he only had teeth in front, on the top and bottom. And they shot out at a surprising angle, not straight up and down. He didn't have any molars. He talked and laughed with the people he was with and I knew right then who Gibber Will was going to be like.

The Woolly is a whole different story. He just sort of appeared in my mind and started babbling.
I wish I could tell you. Arghhh! But I'll post a chapter or two at the back of the first edition for you if you want. So that means you'll have an idea when it comes out in April.

Oh my gosh that would be soo cool Karey! I know my librarian will be happy about the book thing. I've never read so fast in my life.
Thanks, you two. I'm curious, do you think Secret Speakers and the Search for Selador's Gate would be easier to follow, and just as enjoyable to read if the double names and nicknames were taken out?
Thanks. I'd wondered about it before I sent off the story. See? This is how come I needed to have you guys read at rate it before release!

It was good though! That was a TON of imagination in that book!
I appreciate you for letting me know, Alexa! There are actually quite a few typos, but I'll worry about those after the ratings come in and I make final changes. And thanks for the feedback.

Oh, sorry! To get Secret Speakers and the Search for Selador's Gate, just go to http://www.SecretSpeakers.com. I've made it so anyone can download it now...it took some figuring out on my part.
Gwendolyn I want to know who you'd like to play the part of Gibber Will!
Gwendolyn I want to know who you'd like to play the part of Gibber Will!

One is Andy Serkis (he played Gollum), and
the other actor is Mark Williams (he played "Exterminator Jeff" in The Borrowers movie, and "Arthur Weasley" in Harry Potter".
Either one would be AWESOME!

MARK! OH I WAS THINKING HIM TOO!!! YES HE IS SO PERFECT!
I loved the Borrowers! Did you know that Draco from Harry Potter was also in the movie? He was Pegwee! (Spelling?)

And yeah, but he dyed and straigthened his hair for Harry Potter.

Pg9 I must give one word of final warning: if you do not choose the
thoughts and actions of your life wisely, your secret speaker will not
return to recount your story, and it will go untold. Not because your story
isn’t important, but because you haven’t made it important. There’s a difference.\
14 They teach from the Scrolls of Truth that all things have a light, or
spirit, that existed before they were created in physical form: whether
rock, or bird, or twig, or cloud. Or hoomin.
I wish I could describe what we secret speakers see when we look
down on earth and all that dwells upon it. As secret speakers, we are able
to see particles of light because we are made up of nothing more than
light ourselves (being as we are, pure intelligence).
16That is the meaning of the law of Arbiter Will. Their offspring must act for themselves in all things. Cael looked at me once again and nodded. It was time.
26She said simply, “Emerge.”
Fair thought that was an odd word for a farewell. Emerge?
Gibber Will ignored Lariel’s last comment.

I love the references to the heart!!!
38Her mother told everyone Fair was dead. She gave her daughter the
protection of death to save her life.
Knowledge is truth.
Truth is light.
Light is power.
Light invites more light
and banishes that which is dark.
Darkness is another power altogether.
Use your power wisely and well.
Seeing particles of light leap from the sheepskin, parchment pages as
she read, feeling them pass through her face, her hands, her arms, her
chest—where she felt everything that beat and live within her absorb it
thirstily. She was gathering light. She could feel it when it happened. She
The fact that Fair could use her fingerlight to see by in the cellar, was a
secret she kept just for herself, like a treasured belonging that felt more
treasured by the very fact it was hers and hers alone.
48
So I asked, “Where am I going?”
“Back to Rall Kindaria, kind maiden, armed with the knowledge of
home.”
“But isn’t this Rall Kindaria?”
50The same words leaving her lips, night after night when dawn painted
the doorway with pale, gray light. Just before she became invisible to the
world and hurried away to the cellar.
Do what is right, let consequence follow.
Follow your heart, come joy or come sorrow.
73 “You are your parents inheritance. A great gift.”
Fair knit her eyebrows together for a brief moment. Mother says that every time she says good night, ‘You are my inheritance from the gods, my great gift.’ Did all parents say that to their wee hoomin when they tucked them in at night? What does it mean?
Then she heard the Woolly say, “And you are to bring a miracle to Cloven Grave.”
Hold on. What? Fair was stunned. Her stomach became a heavy stone.
“A miracle? Me? What do you mean?”
108 Yes and no, my son. You will have lived and known their every pain,
but when they experience every one of those pains themselves, they can
choose to turn over the pain you have already suffered, or live it again,
themselves. Alone.”…
“You see, if they come to you, all things are possible for them no
matter what sufferings they bear, because you shall bear their sufferings
for them to keep them free, if they will so choose.”
“All things?” Selador asked.
“All things. And they will learn the wisdom of turning away from that
which brings darkness and doubt. But most importantly, the wisdom of
coming to you to ask that the Light return to their hearts and minds when
they have done that which would send it away through wrong action or
thought. It is the only way to be guided.”
112 I’m not sure this makes sense….
especially this :
113 May you learn truth and goodness. May
you learn that you alone are responsible for the greatness of your life.
May you choose wisely and well.
That's just in the first 100 pages I have More from the rest of the book.

first, what is the difference between an unimportant story, and a story that one hasn't made important. are they both going to be untold?
and second: Cael told Liver that he wanted to hear the report("I should like to hear your report once it is finished,” he said to me.) isn't it the same for every secret speaker, don't they already know that? and are there any secret speakers who don't do their job well? sorry it may be a bit soon for asking these as I haven't gona so far in the story and I may get the answers my self! but I had to ask!! :D
thanks :-)
