Noelle Sage | 31 comments I actually really liked the creativity of this book. To think that the idea just came from one person's idea is commendable. Suzanne Collins is a fantastic writer. Also, Katnisss may be a fantasy of what she wishes she was.

Justin | 21 comments i think the ending of the hunger games is very good for a series. if it was the only book and there were no sequels then it might be to brief. it nicely raps up the current thread of the story and putws some suspence toward the next book. it finishes the games themselvs but it shows how they are still not save.

It is a nice twist... But, for the love they show, it was kind of expected.

Mason Purdy | 14 comments I would not change anything about the books ending. It leaves you wondering what the next book will bring. Also it promises a next book.

Dan Pop | 4 comments i think the book was pretty good. the ending surprised me but it was probably worth it to read the whole entire book.

I do know that, although this idea was particularly interesting due to the idea of children put on TV to kill eachother.

i can agree with that, i do not realy see how to improve the ending, if it whent into district 12 the ending may seem to abrupt.

Mike | 14 comments I kinda liked the book but other wise it was probably my favorite book I read. I didnt like how most of the begining of the book was boring but then it got better towards the end.

Chickenfingers416 | 9 comments i did think the ending was pretty good. i liked how the mutts were the tributes that died became the them. i liked how they made them a team so they wouldnt have to kill each othere. then at the end also they swiched it up again and told them had to be one winner. then they out smarted the capital with the berries

Chickenfingers416 | 9 comments Dan wrote: "i think the book was pretty good. the ending surprised me but it was probably worth it to read the whole entire book."i think the endiong was very suprising and got swiched up alot

Mason Cothran | 14 comments I really liked the ending of the book. It left the reader content, instead of leaving us with a massive cliff hanger. I hate cliff-hangers. I completely followed the emotions of both Peeta and Katniss after they left the Capitol, and felt terrible for both of them, and their dilemma. The one part of the ending that was a bit strange was when Katniss thought 'The most dangerous part of the Games has just begun'. After I read that sentence, I looked at how much I had left to read... Maybe thirty pages? I was kind of skeptical that Collins could cram a REALLY dangerous encounter with the Capitol, while at the same time, making sure the book had a decent ending... In thirty pages. :) Good book. I'd read it a third time, if I didn't have others planned!

i woued read the nets one if i was you.

message 17: by Luke (new)

Luke | 16 comments I believe the ending of the book was very good because the book was very descriptional. My favorite part was when they held out the poison berries infront of the capitol so they could both win the games. I have started to read the secound book and that plays a big part in the plot. I would not change one thing in the entire book. The description that the author gave was very good, the entire book was also well writen. I would give it a 10 out of 10 stars.

Matthew Weber (789matt2) | 31 comments The end of the Hunger Games was very different then what some people would expect. I have been thinking, what is the main reason why the author wrote this book. What was she thinking of while writing this and what is the reason of this book. Anyway this book is one of my high recommendations to people beacuse it is great.

I agree! I like that they tie up the Games, realize that they're still in danger, and totally mess up their relationship with each other. It has a sense of finality, while everything is still hectic and screwy.

One of the main things I thought about, is this how Suzanne Collins thought of herself trapped like Katniss.

Without the rest of the series the Hinger Games would not be nearly as good.

I also thought it was cool when the fought in the arena.

Scout Clark (golfwangclark) | 19 comments I think that the books ending was good. The thing i would change would be to make the book shorter and only have the action part towards the begining. I thought the book was good at the end but the begining was painful. I would rate the book at a B- or a C+ just becasue the begining wasnt to well. I thought the cliff hanger it left you at was pretty extreme.

Not necessarily... Erin Hunter, the writer of the Warriors series, is a pen name for three people... They pool their creative abilities, and crank out a couple books a year. I think THG could have been improved a bit... I really didn't like how Peeta lost his leg. It seemed like a minor injury, compared to what could have happened. Collins was probably trying to show that they didn't get out unscathed but... seriously? I dunno. It just seems like a fact they really could've done without.
