I think maybe it should be on a Conneticut shore and say all the girls have made a pact never to date a guy without the other's approval, due to past heart breaks. And say this guy, like a badass guy with a couple tattoos and he chats her up and she falls for him, except none of the other girls like him, but she dates him anyways and fractures the friendship and they all grow slowly apart until a tragedy happens and draws the girls back together in order to survive through the tragedy?
Did you read her age? I don't think she would be dating anyone at age 11... I like the idea, though!
Oh, about her age...wouldn't she be ten, not eleven if her birthday was in 2001?
