After digging out Sergej Lukjaněnko for you, I now found Dmitry Glukhovsky. He is a Russian journalist who normally works for Russia Today and has now published a novel, Metro 2033. It is Science Fiction, playing in a post-atom war Moscow where the whole population lives in the abandoned Metro stations. It has been turned into a computer game that also sounded fairly interesting. For those among us who don't speak any Russian, the German translation is already available (Metro 2033: Roman) and an English translation will be published by Gollancz around December 2009.
