((Uh, on the first post in the 'Characters' topic of the 'Vampires' section, my character is posted. She owns the local coven, the Brooke coven, so your characters may join the coven, leave the coven, or just do whatever. Also, you are allowed to have human characters if you wish.))
Tanya sighed. The only other people in her coven were two other vampires named Jack, her soul-mate, and Johanna, her once-best friend. Johanna had said that she would be leaving soon; she couldn't stand trying to live on animals. She sighed again, and went inside the manor. Jack was there, smiling at her. She smiled back. He made being a monster worth it. More than worth it... he made it a blessing for her.
Laya ran through the woods after hunting and came upon a manor. Interesting... she thought.
Tanya smiled as she heard the thoughts of an approaching nomadic vampire. Jack stiffened, and stood next to her.
Rae lay under a tree, outstreched,in the pitch black woods, eyes closed tightly. She lay frozen like a statue, not even breathing. There was no point of breathing,it wasnt even a necessity just a habit. The only sign of life was her right hand tapping against the dusty and leaf littered ground.
((Bye!!))
Laya stopped when she saw a couple of vampires. They lived here? They didn't move around like most? She didn't understand...
Laya stopped when she saw a couple of vampires. They lived here? They didn't move around like most? She didn't understand...
Tanya looked around sharply. Three. There were three vampires in this town. She needed to investigate to see if they were any threat. She hoped not. She hated violence.
"Who are you?" Laya called out to the person in the manor. She could smell them...
Jack immediately leaped into a defensive crouch in front of Tanya, who touched his hand softly. "There is no need for violence. I am Tanya Brooke, and this is Jack, my soul-mate. We mean you no harm. Jack was only turned eight months ago. Please excuse him, and come inside."
Tanya smiled, and opened the door wider. Please come in, and we will discuss the reasons for your stay here. You should realize by now that we hold a permanent residence here, so please do not drink from local humans. Unless, like us, you only drink the blood of animals."
Laya walked in. "I don't think I'm staying... I don't know, I've been looking for a place to stay. I don't drink from humans, so you should be safe from me."
"Perfect. If you need a place to stay, no one is turned away here. You are always welcome. You too. Jack still has problems with human blood, so if you can't used to the idea of animal blood, we have some blood in the fridge. Help yourself. I work at the hospital, so I have a virtually endless supply."
"Oh, really? Well, I've been to a medical college... Maybe I could work there..." Laya tilted her head. "Well.. I don't know... I'd probably look too young for them to accept."
"Oh, really? Thank you! Oh, I'm Laya, by the way."
"We are pleased to meet you," Tanya said, shaking her hand."Yes. We are glad that you are here," Jack said, looking at Tanya.
Laya smiled. "I take it you're mates. Well... I'm going to go get my bags... I left them up in a tree..." Laya ran back out.
Tanya smiled and said, "yes, you do that, while Jack and I get the rooms upstairs ready. You may stay here as long as you wish."
Laya came back with two bags. "Thank you, for letting me stay."
"I've always been alone.. so, if I do something wrong, please tell me. I haven't actually talked to someone for 150 years..."
"Not completely silent... I have made small talk with people, but that was when I was buying the clothes that were in style at the time. I don't know this times manners. Something tells me there are new dances and different ways to set tables..."
"Well, yes. Living here should help you learn those. But, you might not want to listen to the stilted way I talk. You might want to listen to the high-school students speak. You can pick up the right terms and... 'slang'."
"Why would I go to the school and go to the hospital? Why not just go to the hospital?"
"Well, as junior citizens of the United States, we have to attend a school. It's the law. You may not be a citizen, and thus you may not have to go to the school, but Jack and I do."
"Oh... well, I was born in the United States... so... I guess I'm a citizen. OK, how do I get in?"
"Just get a registration form, and tell them you're a distant cousin of mine. They will get you enrolled as fast as they can."
"What's a... registration form?" Laya tilted her head.
"Is there anything I could do for you? Maybe... I don't know, pay you?"
"No! Please don't give us your money... I would feel horrible, and, we've already got enough here. I only have a job to help the humans. I believe in helping them survive, so they can live the life I lost."
Laya nodded her head. "That's the same reason I like doing it... but, what can I give you in return?"
