Do you think Dumbledore and Grindelwald would have continued their quest for world domination and complete their goal of the destruction of all muggles if Dumbledore's sister, Ariana, had not been killed? How did her death impact Dumbledore? How did it impact Aberforth?

Naomi (naomihp) I think Dumbedore was just a messed up teen who had no clue what his goals in life should be, and therefore it greatly impacted him and the rest of his family. I think Ariana's death made Dumbledore snap back into reality and realize what he was talking about.

Dumbledore knew he was special but didn't know how to proceed. After he met Grindelwald he found a purpose,a person who thinks like him.So he was completely lost in making future plans with Grindelwald.Yes,if Ariana hadn't died then both Dumbledore and Grindelwald would have continued their work until someone strong came in their way. Ariana's death affected Dumbledore and Aberforth deeply.Dumbledore was pushed back to reality,he now knew he was going the wrong way, sadly Grindelwald didnt realize that.Aberforth held Dumbledore responsible for all this, but deep inside he had a regret that he wasn't able to help Ariana.

Naomi (naomihp) :( poor Aberforth
