Why didn’t the Potters use Dumbledore as their Secret Keeper? James supposedly trusted Dumbledore, even lending him his invisibility cloak. Why did the Potters chose Peter instead? After all, Dumbledore was the only person Voldemort had ever feared. Therefore, their secret should have been save with Albus.

I don't really understand why honestly. Maybe they thought dumbledore had enough on his mind running hogwarts and all.

I honestly think it was really just for JK to create a plot with, and for no other reason.

Isadore (IsadoreMoniqueEngrie) | 79 comments I think the Potters did find Dumbledore trustworthy, there was only one teensy problem. Dumbledore was like, old. Maybe the Potters treat him more like a fatherly figure, rather than a friend. Remember, James Potter trusted his friends more than anything else. They even snuck out at night as unregistered Animagus; Dumbledore didn't know about that.
