I want to finish the book I'm currently reading, Paper Roses, then I'll be ready to start this one. Hopefully, I'll be done with Paper Roses in the next day or two.
I'm looking forward to reading this and glad you're liking it so far, Margaret. I nominated it and will feel bad if folks don't like it.

I started this today at lunch. I like the short chapters, too. You can read 1 or 2 when you have a few minutes.
I'm not that far into it yet, but enjoying it so far.

I could barely get through that one, unfortunately...Didn't like it at all.

it was kinda slow moving i think i took a week reading it, but i kept wanting to know if Clay came around or not LOL
I, too, have just started reading When the Smoke Clears, and I am enjoying it. Unfortunately, when I first started reading it, I had other things on my mind and I just couldn't seem to concentrate on it. So I just started over, and I really like it. I think it is a very good story.I have also read a couple of other books by Lynette Eason and enjoyed them. I'm glad this one was chosen for this month's book.
My last nursing school final is Monday, and then I will get to get started on this book! It will be my first non textbook in a while!
To Hannah: Congratulations on finishing a semester in nursing school. I would love to hear more about it. How close are you to graduating? Will you be taking classes this summer?
I am over 1/3 done! Boy, does Alexia ever get a break? Someone sure is after her but that is too many attacks or "accidents" in a short period of time for me!

I finished the book earlier this week. Alexia is under the gun for most of this book...It's almost non stop, but it's a very good book. I'm looking forward to book #2 in the series!

I must admit that I thought the non-stop attacks on Alexia were a bit of overkill, but I still enjoyed the story. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
This book was a fast read and a page-turner. It was clean all the way through and had plenty of tension. It's the first book I've read by this author, but I'll definitely be reading more of hers. I enjoyed it. Thanks for recommending it to this group.
Wow, I just finished this book! I liked that part of it was solved and it left plenty open for the next book. I will be reading it when it comes out!I cannot believe that the entire story took place over only one week. That is one strong chick! I would have lost it! :)
Just finished this yesterday. Thought it was ok. The choppy writing bothered me but the storyline was pretty good.
I got this one free on the Kindle just days before it was announced as one of our May reads. I really enjoyed the storyline and loved Alexia's character. She wanted so much to do the right thing, even when she felt like she didn't know what that right thing to do actually was. The author's writing style really reminded me of one of my favourite Christian suspense authors ~ Dee Henderson, and I'm looking forward to finding out what happens next in this series.
Just finished this and really wish the next book was already out. I don't want to wait until October. Glad that next month's Christian Fiction book is also by this author, although I did not realize that when I nominated it.
