Regan (regantaylor) What book are you reading and why did you choose it?

T.M. (astonwest) | 4 comments Crossover by Joel Shepherd, because the cover art looked cool, and then the back matter drew my interest.

I'm reading Death Game by Cheryl Swanson. I chose it because the title intrigued me, and the blurb was good. And it was in the format I prefer (electronic), so I could have it on my ebookwise. So far it's better than I imagined. Too bad it goes out of print at the end of the month, so I'm glad I got it when I did.

Ciara | 4 comments I'm reading Viking Warrior right now by Connie Mason because I wanted to get into Viking mode for a sequel I'm working on for my own upcoming Viking time-travel release. So far, I'm a little disappointed. Stories okay but so far pretty predictable.

Sheila | 5 comments I'm reading Rabbit, Run by John Updike for one of my book clubs. I'm not sure what to expect because this is my first Updike novel. I hope I like it.

Ciara | 4 comments Sheila, you'll have to let us know if you like it or not. It sounds different.

Sheila | 5 comments I didn't like Rabbit, Run. While the writing is wonderful, the characters are not likable at all. They all need a good swift kick where the sun don't shine and they need to grow up. Running away doesn't solve anything. However, I just finished 44 Scotland Street by Alexander McCall Smith and enjoyed it very much. It's a Scottish version of Tales of the City. It's a quick read. It was originally written as a newspaper serial. It's about the residents in the apartment building at 44 Scotland Street in Edinburgh. I want to know more about these people.

Regan (regantaylor) Oh that 44 Scotland Street sounds good!

It was. I truly enjoyed it and hated for it to end. Now I'm reading Valentine's Day is Killing Me.

Ciara | 4 comments I'm reading on two right now. I know. How odd, but I read paperbacks when I'm in the bath and my e-book reader when I settle into bed. I'm halfway through TM Hunter's Heroes Die Young and really enjoying it. And I'm almost finished with Lorraine Heath's new one, Between the Devil and Desire and oh my, this was a really good romance with a unique plot.

Regan (regantaylor) Actually not so odd to read two -- I usually have one going on my Palm and one in print. I'm reading Rosetta Key by William Dietrich and the Warriors of Arthur by John Matthews.

T.M. (astonwest) | 4 comments I'd mentioned Crossover earlier up in the thread. I finally finished the book last month, and it was a fun and interesting premise...though it had a tendency to drag in too many spots.

Sheila | 5 comments I'm now reading Keith Donohue's Angels of Destructions. I was at a book club today for it and I thought I had it figured out (I'm only 1/2 way through it) but I suspect I'm way off on it after the discussion.
