Why would you read an erotic novel and then be offended by sexual content? That makes no sense.

I didn't love this book either, but people are allowed to read what they find sexy or fun. I wouldn't call this great literature, but it has more depth than porn. The main character isn't just a sex object, she has feelings and ideas and thoughts, That makes this more real than porn, for a lot of women. Thats why a lot of people like it.

You don't have to like this book but don't be a dick about it.

Different people prefer to read different books at different times. And you have the right to your opinion. And Lora Leigh has the right to write and publish w/ whomever she wishes. Is this the first book of the series you have read? If you think this is porn, don't read the ones published by Ellora's Cave. She has a huge following. I am one of those. The story line also has a much greater story arch happening behind the scenes. But please, do not waste your time if you are unhappy w/ this one.

I loved this series! My favorite is coyote's mate. However, her books are advertised as hot and steamy, Erotica. (I loved that you waited until page 220). If you need more story, stay in chick lit, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Rachel Gibson or romance like Julie Garwood, Judith McNaught. There is some steam but it is more tame. If you like the genre of shape shifters, were-people check out Patricia Briggs, her Mercedes series is great. Maybe your a Twilight fan, there are some great Jr fiction that might meet your tastes like The Nick Chronicles, but don't go to Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter (sexy) series that might be too much for you. I love this series! When I worked at a bookstore and customer were looking for a good book in the romance depaartment, this is what i would recommend. They are great!! I love pretty much all the things she (Lora Leigh) writes.

This is what I thought about the Twilight Series and The Host by the same author. This is why there are so many books, so many authors, and so many publishers. Same with movies, not any one movie appeals to all - not any one book appeals to ALL...

I love this series!! It's a great series of strong female characters, who role-model making the most of out life and refuse to be "victims". Oh, and they enjoy sex. It's empowering.
Women have been victimized and exploited for millenia, mainly using sex or their female organs to make them feel SHAME, guilty, dirty, or it's OK to treat them like slaves.
There are still people out there that believe women are not supposed to like SEX at all, enjoy erotic stories, think for themselves, read, vote, or drive cars. Just a few decades ago, "experts" believed women had no ability to enjoy sex at all, especially "good girls" shouldn't, and were mentally incapable to doing most everything.
LIFE is too short to put up with being treated like this.

I've only just started this series but I am totally hooked. The sex in these books are a bit strong at times but I just bypass those scenes and it doesn't take away from the story at all, which have all been great by the way.I truly believe this author is the bomb. My niece recommended these to me so I was informed about the sex ahead of time.

Just had to say I love this series too! I also started reading the series when it began through Elloras Cave, the newer books actually seem a little tamer but I would still consider them erotic romance. Perhaps a little more research on Lopita's part, there are SO MANY ways to discover new authors that are more your spead including Goodreads and I love getting samples from Amazon on my Kindle.

Loved the breed series and I anxiously wait for Lora Leith to pick it up and star writing it again. Curious to know if this is the only breeds book you've read? Book is NOT about sex with a lion - goes much further than this and to find out what the story is actually about you should start at the beginning - Tempting the Beast.

Its an awesome book by an awesome writer! If you didn't like why read over 200 pages!! Yes there was a lot of sex but there was so much more to it and I can't see how you missed it.

This is a great book, from a wonderfull author !! This is one of my fav series from Lora Leigh. I respect your opinion, but i belive you really should read the back cover of the book you pick, or search the web for reviews of the book and author, that's what i do, when i try something new !!

Ditto on being a fan on just about all of Ms. Leigh's books including the Seal/Elite Ops series. I like them hot with adult language. Only one I really didn't like was 'Midnight Sins' and that was because it wasn't written with the same excellence that I've come to expect of this author. Different strokes for different folks/One person's trash is another person's treasure etc...

I am another who loves the Breeds series. I have all of the books. The story is great, the H's are seriously alpha and the book is super steamy. I understand not liking a book because of the steam factor. However, I'd suggest in the future researching a book further prior to purchasing to see if it falls into the adult or erotic category. There are a lot of good YA books out there. I just read a series called Slammed and it was an incredible read and it's definitely YA. Good Luck & Happy Reading.

I agree with the others--didn't you read the blurb about the book or reviews?? I LOVE these books and also can't wait for the newest one. Her books are HOT and SPICY, but they are also set for adults. I'm sorry you didn't like it, but saying an author should be directing Porn is really harsh.

I happen to agree with Michielle - I love the Breeds series.. I have read them all and can't wait for the next one to come out.
You are entitled to your opinion and your question on the merits of the book. But if you don't like it then just stay away from the series and this author, and any other book with really HOT, Spicy SEX!
Those are just my feelings and opinion.
I do say your feelings are strong in the dislike category, and quit harmful to a book.
