The Short List for the Miles Franklin Award 2012 has been announced today

The books are

Blood by Tony Birch
All That I Am by Anna Funder
Foal's Bread by Gillian Mears
Cold Light by Frank Moorhouse
Past the Shallows by Favel Parrett

But I got it on my site pretty quickly so I'm happy with that. I've only read one. I need to read more

Also maybe we should have a poll to see if we can predict the winner :P

I've read 3 of them so far - Blood, All That I Am and Past the Shallows. I'm so disappointed that The Street Sweeper didn't make the cut

but anyhow if you do what to read another one of the above list, I recommend Blood

That would be a good idea for the poll but let me discuss with Brenda because I have no idea how to set it up lol

The only one I've read is the Favel Parrett which I loved, but I don't think it will win.
