my mom bought me a nook simple touch for my 17th birthday and i had it for 2 months then someone stole it. my mom said she would buy me another one but i was wondering if we get a new one will i be able to put the books that are already in my nook libary on the new one or would i have to re buy all the books?

You should deregister your old one anyway, so the stealer can't use it.
You will be fine. I have both the simple and the touch and all my books are on both devices. I would call BN and see if your nook is still under warrenty ; you may not have to buy a new one.....it may be free
I second Sandra, be sure to deregister your previous Nook and tell B&N it was stolen. You don't want the thief buying books and charging it to your credit card.
I once accidently deregistered my nook and everything on that thing was deleted. I re-registered my nook to my bn.com account and all my ebooks popped up again.
