Poet in the Dark (poetinthedark) Cartin sat at one of the tables, fiddling with her hair, a bored expression in her eyes. She sighed, wishing she could have gotten out of this class like Court and Saffy had. 'Oh well,' she thought to herself. 'I guess I'll just have to make the most of it. I'm definitely not taking it next year, though.'

Poet in the Dark (poetinthedark) ((Whoops. Oh well.))

Cartin looked up and smiled, "Not at all. Meira, right? We sat in the same compartment on the train."

Poet in the Dark (poetinthedark) Cartin nodded, "Yep. Good to see you again. How do you like Hogwarts so far?"

Poet in the Dark (poetinthedark) Cartin grinned and brushed some hair out of her eyes, "It is, yeah. But it's so homelike. I love it."

Poet in the Dark (poetinthedark) "He should be here soon," Cartin said, doodling on a bit of parchment. "Honestly, I'm glad we have Firenze rather than Trelawny. She kind of freaks me out."

Poet in the Dark (poetinthedark) "She was the original Divination professor," Cartin said. "But then Firenze came and taught astronomy for a while before switching over to Divination. Trelawny still teaches, but they swap out years each school year. This year Firenze teaches the odd-numbered years, Trelawny teaches the even."

Poet in the Dark (poetinthedark) "Yeah, though I don't think he's as crazed as Trelawny can be. He's pretty calm."

Poet in the Dark (poetinthedark) "I suppose eccentric would be a better word choice... Trelawney can be a bit odd and excitable," she corrected.

Poet in the Dark (poetinthedark) Cartin shrugged, "Better than insane. She's harmless, really. Promise."

Poet in the Dark (poetinthedark) "There's Firenze," Cartin said softly, looking up. "Don't worry, you'll like him."
