This is the last book in this Steampunk series. Enjoyable, but not as good as the previous books.

Re: Carriager books. They are fun. Definitely character driven novels, the plot lines are light, but yes, very enjoyable.
I don't recommend what I'm currently reading. It's very confusing and not fully formed. I'm persevering because I promised the author a review. -_-
You are 100% correct! Most of the books I've offered a review on have been good, if not great! Some were very refreshing! This one, not so much... oh well. For every bad one, so far there's been several much better ones :D

Yes, it was. :( The Parasol Protectorate Abroad?
Prudence Imprudence I love the thought that they are about Prudence, she's a great character in the making. I must have Lord Akeldama and Biffy though!

I'm onto this one now:
Wonder Tales: Six French Stories of Enchantment Wonder tales by my favourite French writers (not counting Zola). They are truly wonderful!

Marina Warner is great, her book: From the Beast to the Blonde: On Fairy Tales and Their Tellers is also amazing (with a feminist slant).
I understand what you mean by catching up. I have 241 books on my to-read list, and it keeps growing!

Now, Lynxie, you know I won't be able to resist...*darts away to look* Wow! I'm going to have to have a search through your books, it's like a library in there! Bet you've got some great ones. :):)
Haha! Yep just like a library... Hence the bookaholics anon in my RNG group :D I sure do need it!I have read some great books, some good books, some ok books, and sadly some pretty bad ones. Oh well :)
American Gods I have read a third of the book so far and it has been amazing. It became a recommended read to all my friends without even having finished it yet. I might be delaying reading it faster just so I don't have to actually finish it.I have only read Stardust by Neil Gaiman before, a book which I also loved with a passion, and I have no idea why until now I hadn't pick up another book by him.
Also, I watched that Dr Who episode he wrote which was very quirky and funny.
Anyway, this book is fantastic.
I added a few today too. Can't help myself. Ordered them in from the library already. And my kindle is chock-a-block full!
I'm reading Fallout: Equestria. Although it's on the scifi side, it's a My Little Pony fanfic by a girl named kkat (I think it's a girl) but it reads like a professional novel. The Brony community can be awesome sometimes. luv my ponies!
I'm currently about 1/3 of the way through The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks. (This is a re-read for me, but I couldn't have been older than 7th or 8th grade when I read it the first time and I don't remember much of it.)
I'm really enjoying it so far, just like I thought that I would!

I'm reading: Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Haven't really got into it yet, but I have two books awaiting me at the library so I'll get cracking. Liking Laini's writing style but Kaz is a tosser with a capital T.

I should really find the time to re-read it, I remember the beginning left quite an impression on me, but I completely forgot the plot and everything! °O°
