Personally I prefer a flat fee, because a percentage of forever messes up accounts for both! ;-) I usually do my own covers, but sometimes hire others (either friends or more famous pros) for a flat fee. So far I only had a "guest illustrator" for the Books of the Immortals covers . She normally draws erotica, so she made an exception for me - and she can't speak English, or I'd send you to her site! ;-)
