I LOVED Glimmer in the book!!! Although she was only a supporting character she had this element of beauty and fierceness!

Now this is what I thought about Glimmer but what did you guys think reading and watching The Hunger Games?

i thought that she was really pretty in the movie and i really liked her in the books! but in the movie she loved cato it was kinda strange

She's demeaning to girls and women, even though I like her. Young girls shouldn't be reading or watching Glimmer because she's an example of someone who has it "all" at least in Panem. She is a blond Barbie-type who trained as a Career all of her life, and young girls are often taught to think that tall skinny, blond supermodel-type girls and women are better than short, stocky, compact brunettes, which I don't like. I think that Clove is a better example of someone strong. Though we were all mature enough to know that Glimmer was like this, girls under the age of 10 or even 11 shouldn't be exposed to this, not to sound like a know it all or anything.
