LM that is what is is about! I should have a facebook page up later today as well. Let's see if we can't generate some foot traffic so that we can all start getting the word out about our books and maybe sell a few!
Joe wrote: "I have been doing local events since December with three other authors who write in genres which don't compete with my novels. We have held events at restaurants, gift shops and festivals and spli..."I was wondering how you do an event at a restaurant. Do you have to pay for a party? How does that work? Someone in my local authors group mentioned she did this at Texas Roadhouse and it was hugely successful.

I love offering free books! Today's Giveaway is an eBook of "The Possibilities of Amy" and it starts today on I Just Wanna Sit Here and Read. Here's the link:http://www.sithereandread.com/2012/05...
Here's a little bit about the story:
Amy is the ultimate trophy girl—gorgeous face, killer body, and a vivacious personality. But there’s something else about her, something that makes her even more special. Amy is new. A transfer student from out of state, she’s starting her senior year without knowing a soul. And that means she’s up for grabs, available.
Infatuated from the moment he sees her, David is determined to meet Amy, and if the fates are willing, to spend the rest of his life with her. But his shyness prevents him from approaching her—until his friends devise a contest to determine who will be the first to prove their manhood by seducing her.
I hope you'll drop in to read the excerpt and check out this great site.

Joyce, it's not much of a promo without a link, a title, or an author's name. :)
Just wanted to let you know that this book (which has been very successful in other countries) is available for free today on Amazon. Here's the synopsis:
Maite’s going through a rough patch.
“The Unmentionable” and the recession forced her to move back with her parents at the “tender” age of 35 and, every day, she wakes up to the Take That posters from her teens.
To ride out the storm, Maite accepts an au pair job at La Pilarica, an elitist residential area near her hometown, bastion of the surviving Spanish aristocrats and state owners.
Maite, born and raised in a humble family, has her reservations. She isn’t used to navigating an opulent environment and doesn’t even have experience in the job, but two difficult kids, a peculiar neighbor, the shadow of a mother and a tormented man, will teach her that people aren’t always what they appear to be and that, sometimes, it is necessary to hit rock bottom to get a fresh start.
