Thanks ladies. I actually have a photo of the Biltmore Library but it's vertical and this headmast requires a horizontal photo that isn't too big.

I changed the masthead for the holidays. Only took me about two hours to learn not only how to edit the photo but how to resize it.
Specifially, GRs requires photos to be 970W x245H pixels and between 1KB ad 6MB in size. I have to resize 3 times to get it that size because after the second try, it's only 244 pixels high and it's rejected. Argh.
On the bright side, now that I've figured out how to do it, can do it again in the new year to change it up now and then. :)

We've had the small icon photo up for sooooo long, I thought I'd change it too. This photo just makes me want to curl up in the chair and read.
It's curious how we don't see a thing till it changes. I've seen the new icon today, I like it a lot, but I was thinking: was it always the same? I love both icon and headmast.
I can't add the photo directly to this thread, but if you'd like to see the whole room the headmast came from, in sharper detail (it degrads when I have to enlarge it), then follow the link below to our photo page with the picture.

Now that the holidays are officially over, time for a new headmast again. I found this photo online, and had to crop it to fit the headmast.
I uploaded the original photo into our group photo section if anyone wants to see the whole room:

Thanks Denise. If you look at the whole photo you'll see bookshelves that go around the top of the room. Would be hard to get books off of often, but makes the room feel cozier.
