And so it begins...
The black and red hedgehog leaned up against a tree. Everything was peaceful...for the moment. A few seconds later, he heard shouting, and knew that the faker and Eggman were at it again. Shadow figured he'd just leave them to their own fight, but was unable to as the robot came crashing through, and forced him to jump aside in order to not get hit. He scowled, curled up into a ball, and crashed through the robot.
Without a word, he turned away, and stalked off, fuming from the encounter.

Frost looked around quietly. She crawled through the bushes and caught sight of the robot. She rushed and jumped onto it. "Yo, Eggsalad, I'm right here," she she taunted.

Shadow heard the tauntings of the black and white. He looked back and scowled. He didn't like her...then again, he didn't like anyone. Taking his mind off the girl, he continued on his way.
(I'll rp Eggman unless someone else wants him..)
"I AM NOT A SALAD!" Eggman snapped, "I'll be back!"
With that, he flew off in the Egg Carrier.

Frost flipped backwards and landed back on the ground. She smiled. Suddenly something tapped her on the shoulder. "Good job Frost," Tails said as his sky blue eyes sparkled. "Thanks Tails," she said.

The forest was fairly large, but that didn't matter, and within seconds he had scaled it. He leaned up against a tree and watched as the sun dipped over the horizon. For some reason he felt drawn to it...he tried to shake the feeling, but something was telling him to look. Without looking back, he took off in a gold blur.

Tails and Frost walked back to base. "I wonder where Sonic's disappeared to," Frost wondered out loud. "Me too, but he always comes back in the end," Tails said. "You're talking about him like he's a pet," Frost said teasingly. Tails smiled at her. "I am not," he said. Frost nudged him. "Are to!" Tails nudged her back. "Am not!" "Are to!" "Am not!"

schyler looked up from her book "how was your.....are you ok dad" she asked as eggman walked in irradiated

Once he got going, he just followed his gut instinct, and soon wound up at Eggman's base, "Hmph, figures," he muttered, running in.
What he didn't expect was a purple hedgehog...calling Eggman 'dad'.

she hugged eggman "its ok daddy tomorrow will be better" she said brightly

He was utterly confused, but he assumed that Eggman had somehow brainwashed the girl, and had tricked her into thinking he was her dad, "Alright Eggman, what are you up to?" he growled.

(dont forget kayla you are eggman)
schyler looked over and gasped and hid behind eggman "daddy who is this man" she didnt get a good look at shadow cause eggman was blocking her view

Eggman scowled, "She's my daughter."
Shadow held back a snort, "Daughter? More like another attempt too create me."
"Schyler, why don't you tell Shadow who you are?" Eggman suggested, moving aside so that he could see her.

schyler blushed "h...hi im schyler the hedgehog daughter of Dr. ivo robotnick" her knees buckled "um i...i was born 3 months ago" she blushed harder "is that good father"

"Very good. Why don't you go to your room for a while?" Eggman suggested.
"Hang on Eggman, you've been keeping her secret for three months?" Shadow asked.
"Yes...she isn't ready for the outside world yet," he explained.
Shadow scowled, "You're just keeping her so that you can make her evil and I'm not going to let that happen."
"Schyler, I do belive you should go to your room," Eggman insisted.

schyler ran to her room scared. she sat on her bed "evil? would he do that to me" she wondered

Shadow turned to Eggman, "I'm taking her."
"I'm afriad I can't let you do that," Eggman said.
He began to walk in the direction Schyler had run, "And I don't care."
"All robots report to the control room!" Eggman barked.
Shadow ran towards her room and bursted through the door, "You're coming with me...it's not safe here."

schyler yelped "i...i" she backed up into the wall blushing madly

He looked straight at her, "You have to trust me. Eggman wants to make you evil."

schyler gulped "o..ok" she said unsure. she walked up to him

"Okay," he scooped her up, "Hold on."
He ran out of the room, past the robots, and out into the forest.
A few seconds later he stopped and let her down, "Are you okay?"

schyler shivered "i...im scared" she sat down and held her head then looked sadly at shadow "would my father really hurt me or make me evil"

"I wouldn't doubt him too," he replied and leaned against a tree, "We can camp here for the night...tomorrow I'll take you somewhere you'll be safe."

schyler cried "but he was my only family. im alone now" she sobbed and covered her face with her hands

He looked up at the sky, "You're not the only one without a family."

schyler looked at him and wiped her tears "you dont have a family?"

"My only friend was killed on Space Colony ARK," he muttered, "I've never had a family...I was created, not born."

schyler looked at him shocked "created? ark i herd about that once from father. he said some of his relatives lived there and one was..." she shivered

"The only people living on that station were me, Maria, and Dr. Robotnik. Dr. Robotnik created me aboard the ARK," he explained, "And I'm guessing that Eggman created you three months ago. Most likely by trying to copy me."

schyler paled "i was created. to try to make another you. so i was a mistake" she felt tears stream down her face

(Ops...half asleep...why must Sonic be on at 8 and I went to bed at 2?)
"I highly doubt you were a mistake. If you were Eggman wouldn't have kept you around. I'm guessing that he's coming up with a plot to make you evil and at his command," he said, "It's getting late, you should sleep."

schyler laid down "thank you for saving me shadow" she cried herself to sleep

He watched her slowly fall asleep, sank down against the base of the tree, and remained alert the rest of the night.

schyler shivered in her sleep, her tanktop and shorts didnt keep her very warm in the cold night air

He saw that she was shivering and carefully made a small fire. After that, he picked her up, and moved a little closer to the flame.

she snuggled into him when he moved her and smiled slightly

He stiffened a little, but when saw her smile he relaxed, and just gazed into the fire.

then it started to rain, making her shiver more and wake up slightly "hu?"

He groaned and moved back into the trees, "Hang on, I think I know a place nearby."
He ran off and soon came upon a small shack. He opened the door and set her on a small cot in the corner. He found some old blankets and threw them on top of her. Then, he saw a small fireplace, andsoon a fire was warming the shack.

thunder roared out side and she sat up fast "*gasp*" she looked around scared

"It's just lightning," he scoffe, "Nothing to be afraid of."

thunder roared again and she jumped out of bed and clung to shadow "ahhh"

"Gah!" he fell backwards and glared at her, "Get off me!"

schyler got off "im so sorry i just" *crack* "ahhh" she screamed and tried not to cling to shadow again

The rain poured down on them. "Eep," Frost squealed. Tails smiled at her slightly. "You okay," he asked. "No smart one, my dress is white and white doesn't do well with water," Frost said. Tails blushed. "We're almost to the base...let's go," he said. The two foxes rushed to the base. When they got in Tails climbed over the couch and Frost rushed to her room to change.

"Does it really scare you that bad?" he asked.

"yes i..ahhh" *crack* she hid under the bed

He gently pulled her out from under the bed, "It's okay," he held her, "There's nothing to be scared of."

her eyes went wide "what about that robot behind you?!?!" she pointed behind him

He pushed her behind him and threw chaos spear at the robot. Then he spin dashed it and destroyed it.
"Come on!" he grabbed her hand and pulled her away from the shack, "Eggman must've found us!"
He scooped her up and sped off without a single glance back.

she held on to him tight "where are we going" she shivered
