I include The Old Man and the Sea, A Clockwork Orange and One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich.
Received wisdom says publishers do not favour the form. Yet this can't always have been so, even if it be so now. Imagine if books such as the three above had not made it because of received wisdom.
What is certain is that the walls of big publishing are now tumbling and we indie authors stand a far better chance with our novellas.
They are an ideal read, esp for those hyper-swift-readers who aim for a book or even more a week.
So, if novellas are your bag, step this way!
