Chapter 13 Summary:Tom, Adolph, and about half a dozen others of the St. Clare estate, were turned over to the loving kindness of Mr. Skeggs, the man in charge of the SLAVE warehouse in New Orleans (Slave's house) to await the auction next day, Tom had with him a trunk full of clothing and he was put for the night into a long room with other slaves but they were happy and the keeper said ''my people are always so merry'', Tom was in no humor to join these events, but he saw two womens who were weeping they might be sold to different masters at the next day. A little before the sale commenced a particular man look to them and tom felt horror at him during as he came near, and he seized Tom by the jaw and pulled open his mouth to inspect his teeth like a horse, but then the sale begun, and tom was sold and he had a new master then he saw how susan and emmeline was sold, their master is Mr. Legree, who owns a cotton plantation on the Red river. they were pushed along into the same lot with two other men, and goes off.
The benevolent gentleman is sorry; but, we still don't know how is his personality

This is where we will start writing about Harriet Beecher Stowe's Uncle Tom's Cabin. The chosen person (Gustavo's choice) must write a short summary of the first chapter. The objective of this is to keep a record and it should be simple, short, but complete enough for people who didn't come to class on that day to just come read the summary and understand what's happening in the story. The rest of you must read carefully what he wrote and add anything if it's necessary.
