Raffle eligibility: A member of this group with a Goodreads and at least one Online-Bookstore textual review & rating of Part 1 and five Part-2 chapters of Reason Reigns (or the entire book)

2009 Raffle details:

Starting February 15, I will raffle off one copy of Reason Reigns every 15th of the month. On December 15, I will also raffle off $ 200.00.

Every participant will have a number. The first member who submits (or has submitted) a textual review and rating will be Participant # 1, and so on. A participant can win Reason Reigns only once. All Reason Reigns winners are eligible to win the Christmas raffle of $ 200.00.

If a Reason Reigns winner (or a member who has received a copy from me) wins another Reason Reigns raffle, the next non-winner Participant number will be declared the winner. Example: Participant # 5 wins the February 15 raffle; if he wins again on March 15, Participant # 6 will be declared the winner.

Raffle Draws

For the February 15 raffle: I will send a number to Participant # 1 and will request Participant # 2 to send a number greater than zero to Participant # 3 no later than February 14. (If these participants are my family members, we will use the next numbers.) Participants 1 & 3 will post the numbers on February 15. We add the numbers, multiply the sum by the number of male participants, and then divide the product by the number of female participants (if there are no female/male, use 1). If the rounded up quotient corresponds to an existing Participant number – that is the winner. Otherwise, we divide the rounded up quotient by two and, again, round up the quotient until there is a winner.

For the succeeding Reason Reigns raffles, the latest winner will take my place.

For the Christmas raffle of $ 200.00: all Reason Reigns winners will send me a number no later than December 14 and they will post the numbers on the 15th. We will get the sum and multiply it by the number picked in a members’ poll (Participant # 1 will break any tie), and then divide the product by the first runner up in the poll. The quotient is rounded up. If there is no winner, we will use the same rules as the Reason Reigns raffles: we divide the rounded up quotient by two until there is a winner.

Wow, thank you for choosing me as the April winner, I really appreciate it. I'm just about to start reading the sample chapters on Goodreads and I'm excited cause I have good expectations about it. I'm not sure but as far as I understand, the novel sounds like speculative fiction. And it so happens that I read such a book a couple months ago and dearly enjoyed it... the first fantasy fiction I've read, Devices and Desires by K J Parker. I have the feeling that your book, like the one that I enjoyed, presents an interestingly-unique fictional society that causes the reader to ponder on political/sociological issues existing in our own reality. Basically it sounds like an intellectual read, and entertaining at the same time, that's why I'm interested :)

By the way, have you ever been to the Philippines?
