message 8: by Mara (new)

Mara (maraanne) I must disagree; I absolutely loved "Reckless." Mostly because it was darker than her other books and I loved the time period she chose to put the world in. But I also really loved the story and the richness of the world. I'm really looking forward to its sequel.

message 9: by Kass (new)

Kass | 5 comments Do you know when Restless is coming out?(:

message 10: by Mara (new)

Mara (maraanne) I believe we Americans have to wait until sometime early next year. Germany gets it in the fall.

I've started on Heroes of Olympus, but the second book was misbehaving on my Kindle. Now that there are others, I'll have to get back into the groove of things! The Hunger Games is next on my list, I think, after I finish up The Dark Tower (not so much YA.)

Okay for Now by Gary D. Schmidt , Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick , The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins , The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1) by Rick Riordan , and The Girl Who Could Fly by Victoria Forester

Absolutely, and without question, Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire.

Perhaps a little older than YA, but not adult either. Regardless, it's a gorgeous book and a great read.

Carolina Vampire Academy

I absolutely LOVE this series so much. I think Mead does an amazing job of captivating her readers with the characters she has written up and the story she has created. Of course, as an Adrian lover, I had to read Bloodlines, the spin-off series to Vampire Academy.

Bloodlines

Another series I have just started, yet am already in love with is very popular among YA readers and that is The Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices.

City of Bones

Clockwork Angel

So so so so so GOOD! I could not put this book down. Post apocalyptic world where avenging angels destroyed our planet + super sexy Raffe who is hilarious, badass with a sword, and to top it all off, he has smoldering good looks. ;]

message 48: by Mia (new)

Mia | 3 comments Divergent (Divergent, #1) by Veronica Roth & Insurgent (Divergent, #2) by Veronica Roth I think I've read these books about three times since I started the series in May. Such well developed storyline, society, and characters. Plus the love story is so real. Tobias is my favorite part about this book. It was a painful but short wait for Insurgent. Now I have to wait a whole year and a half for book three. Not coping well =...[
