Alexandria walked in cautiously with her bags. She had just suffered her mother's death, and was looking for a place to stay.
Heather was just wondering around when she saw Alexandria slowly walk into the Big House. Heather knew what it was like to be new at camp. So quickly while she hummed her favorite tune,(Frere jacques) she came up to Alexandria and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Hi. Sorry to startle you," Heather said in a small voice. "I'm Heather Sippel from the Ares cabin." Heather looked down at her lilac purple dress and added, "I know it doesn't look it. Welcome to Camp Half-blood though."
David overheard. He watched for a moment before answering. "This is a camp for special people known as demigods. Half god, half human."
((Hey, how is Heather at two different places at the same time?))
In an even smaller voice, Heather replied, "A safe place for demigods. Those whom have a God as a parent. I might sound crazy though, it takes time to sink in. You know the Gods right? I was only eight when I got here so I had no idea who Ares was. That's probably alot for you to process so I'll just stop there."
David walked over. "Hi Heather," he said with a smile. He nodded. "Yup, but not all Gods. Greek to be specific, Goddesses and Gods of Ancient Greece."
Asmaa wrote: "((Hey, how is Heather at two different places at the same time?))"(Sorry!! Heather is going to her tree now in the camp Rp section. Hope that this Heather clone thing is fixed now!! :/)
Alexandria frowned. "The.. gods...? Those are a myth. My mom told me to come here. We were on a trip.. she said something..."
David nodded. "I came here a year ago. Still sort of getting used to it, you know, because it can be hard to deal with. The Greek gods and goddess are around today, hard to believe, I know," David said. He was fourteen, but managing to explain it. "I'm a son of Apollo."
"Long story short, people have remembered their stories for they know how long, so here they are," David said.
((we don't have a Chiron...so do I just RP him or what?))
((okay then))
Chiron wheeled his chair in. "Well hello. You must be Alexandria."
Chiron wheeled his chair in. "Well hello. You must be Alexandria."
((he's in his wheelchair))
Chiron smiled kindly. "My dear, welcome to Camp Half-Blood. I hope young David was explaining things?"
Chiron smiled kindly. "My dear, welcome to Camp Half-Blood. I hope young David was explaining things?"
((she doesn't know who he is))"I don't get it!" she wailed. "I don't under stand!" she was on the verge of tears.
"It's alright, my girl. Calm yourself. Let's start from the top, shall we?" Chiron asked gently.
((she's Poseidon, right?))
"Your mother contacted me and let me know you would be coming," Chiron explained. "David, you may leave."
"Your mother contacted me and let me know you would be coming," Chiron explained. "David, you may leave."
((okay))
Chiron paused. "How much do you know about your being a demigod?"
Chiron paused. "How much do you know about your being a demigod?"
"A demigod is half god half human," he said simply. "I'm afraid I can't explain it differently."
Chiron said, "Demigods are not full gods. They have some godly powers, depending on their parent. They are not immortal."
Alexandria nodded. She gave a sigh of relief. "Do you know my father? She asked once more. "If you don't thats fine," she added hastily. "And what is this place again?"
Chiron shook his head. "I know your father is a god, or you wouldn't be here. But which god remains to be seen. Hopefully you will be claimed soon. Maybe at the campfire? As for your second question, this is Camp Half-Blood, a safe haven for demigods to train."
Chiron frowned. "Demigods train here," he repeated.
Chiron answered, "We play Capture the Flag, sword fight, swim, climb the lava wall, practice archery, go boating, spar..." He looked at the rocks in her hand. "Are these a magical weapon?"
Chiron examined the blade. "Very nice," he said appreciatively. He looked at the other rock. "And this one?"
"Ah," Chiron said noncommitally. "Is this a gift from your father?"
