Finding Hope Over Hopplessness

Interesting Owen's, for I was thinking similar thoughts yesterday morning. I liked the point, “For the smallest speck of hope in this vast sea.” (Sea of what?) It is that distant flicker of a star in an otherwise black sky that separates us from the animal kingdom. And it is that tiny flicker of truth which helps us to live in hope of a better world. Now allow me if you would to make two points. (1) I believe, and it is only my position, that you need to cement this to something. By that I mean something that it can stand alone with. Ex. Faith, marriage, war, poverty, or even a vague inference of something global, perhaps universal or magnificent, or “a vast sea,” of indifference, hate, intellectual decline or twisted faith. (2) Write on word and then paste to the comment board, this will help in the spelling and some grammar.
I looked at this thinking it was an essay, but I still think it needs something to hang it's hat on.
If you wish to retaliate and inflect pain for my observation, look at my writing on my home page.
If there is no honesty, then there is no hope for anyone of us.

I think it is really good it is kinda like one of those get happy cards even though it is really hard
Owen, in my opinion I don't think it is that great because people living in harmony isn't going to happen so there is appearently no hope for us then? You write "only" but all of us getting along is not the only "salvation" we have, and you speak of salvation. you say we can in a sense save ourselves, by us all getting along, though? Ponder salvation and your emotions of hopelessness. You have something going on that sounds good, just not as deep as it could go.
Well, even if it won't happen it's a nice thought, I think

Times will be hard and
Hearts will be sad.
Many can not rest in the vast oceans of hopelessness.
Do not be afraid.
For the smallest speck of hope in this vast sea
Can change the course of history forever more.
Only if we together as humans
Join by love and compassion,
Can we find this speck of hope
In the vast seas of hopelessness.

I would like to what you all think about this. I entered this in the competition and it had a lot of spelling errors. I think I fixed then all
