Wait... where's the garden? At the castle?

"So you convinced my father to let you drag me out here. What do you want?" Nella asked crossly. Her arms were folded and she was clearly not happy.

{Should I leave this one for Frances? I guess I will.}

"Why do you hate me?" Landon asked bluntly.

"You're a jerk. You didn't seem to care that you crashed into me at the library. You always hurt Bella's feelings by annoying her. You never say sorry, at least not where I can hear you," Nella said, equally blunt.

{Oooo!! Landon's hurting Bella's feelings, huh? XD }

{Or maybe Nella's just fishing for a good excuse. *wink wink*}

"I did too apologize in the library! I'm sorry that I accidently ran into you and practically got a concussion and you didn't seem to care if I was alright! And it's not like Bella has been to nice to me! Well, actually she's kind of been annoying the crap out of me but that's beside the point! I do say sorry, but you haven't given me any reason to! You've been just as rude to me as I've been to you. You haven't given me one chance to prove that I'm not a stuck-up jerk like some princes around here." Landon rambled in a totally annoyed voice.

{XD So is Nella.}

Nella crossed her arms. "I don't give a care for what you're saying, Landon," she said. "I think you're quite mistaken besides. If you were truly gallant, you'd have sought me out yourself to apologize, or left a note, or something. Honestly, you can't really complain." Nella turned and started to walk away.

{Any ideas on how Nella can win this argument?}

OH!!! Sorry, missed that bit... Still, I think she's still won. So far, she has the last word, unless Frances can come up with a good comeback.

"I can't complain?! Are you kidding? The only reason you're walking away right now is because you know that you're wrong! I think that you need to apologize to me just as much as I need to apologize to you! Ugh, I don't understand why I even like you!" Landon clamped his mouth shut- did he just say that out loud?

Nella froze. He'd voiced the nagging thought in the back of her head she'd been ignoring. She turned slowly and simply stared at him. Then she realized something about what he had said. "You like me?" she asked.

"Um, yeah?" Landon murmured, "But I know it's totally ridiculous because you totally and copletely hate me for reasons I apparently cna't understand, so to remove us from this obviously AWKWARD moment I'll be going." Landon rushed out, turning on his heel and starting to walk away.
