Hello!
Hello Daniel! Thank you much! I'm sure you will be a great help! Nothing is better in a writing group than an author that helps run it!Anyway, I am Connor, I'm 17 and I'm not a good writer, but I think I can give good criticism and I can be rather picky about spelling and grammar (mainly spelling, for I don't catch all grammatical errors).
If anyone has questions about the group or the mods, contact one of the moderators.
Thank you!
Hi Daniel!
Great to see a new face around here! :) And to have an author come help out in our group, too!
I'm Kirsten; I'm eighteen and a sophomore in college. I study Classics (Greek & Latin--language, culture, literature, &c.). I can't attest much to my writing skills except to say that my papers are well accepted by all of my professors so far. I'd like to be a better fiction writer, though! I can provide good criticism on spelling and grammar, and I'm an avid reader, so I like to think that I have a feel for how good stories should develop.
Anyways, that's all I can think of for now. I can promise that I'll be an active contributor and moderator in this group... except during midterms and finals. ;)

Thanks for the welcome! It's nice to (virtually) meet you. :)
Yep. I get busy, too. So I cannot always be here. I'll try my best, though.
I've wanted to learn Latin, but never had the time. I once had a book printed in 1495 (seriously!). It was the homilies of some pope (can't remember his name). The book was in fantastic condition (though the leather-over-wood cover was a bit worn eaten.

Well, my mom kinda forced me to learn Latin till I was 16, then I decided it was totally awesome, started learning Greek, and now I'm addicted to ancient literature.... a slightly unusual thing to be obsessed with but hey, it's awesome! No accounting for taste, eh? :D
*waves* Hi Adam! Haven't seen you around in forever!! Mostly because I was busy falling over myself to get my 17 credits workload done. Hello summer!!

Yeah, you're obsessed with Greek, Latin, and Hebrew or something like that... It's a rather strange obsession, but I guess that's what makes you unique. ;)

Haha thanks! I'm planning to do Hebrew, but I haven't done it yet. I'll tell you what, though; if you'd read bits of the New Testament in Greek, you'd probably be obsessed too. It's AWESOME. :D

Aw, tell Ashby hi for me! If she does, just tell her to log in with her user name and password, even though the account is deleted. It should just come back up.
Hey everyone! My novel, The Dreamshift Chronicles, is now available for the Kindle on Amazon. If you are an Amazon Prime member, you can get it for free! If not, it's $4.99. I hope you don't mind the shameless promotion, but I am excited to see my book out in print and electronically!
I'm perfectly fine with promotions. I get rather irritated at people who delete promotion posts because they're "spam." It seems disrespectful when the author went through all the work of writing it and everyone is just rude about it.I plan on reading it btw. I have a lot to read first, but I will read it. I promise. :)

It just so happens that I've never gotten a 'B' in a class before ever!!!!!!

Thanks, Connor (both for wanting to read my book and for not being bothered by authors promoting their work). I appreciate it. :)
Isn't that what Goodreads is for anyways? Well at least partly.
I'm waiting for my paycheck to come in. I don't get paid till two weeks from now. :( But I'm planning to buy a bunch of books for my Kindle. I'll bookmark that page! :D

hi!
I was writing a story for an English Project, when my sister told me that I write way too awkwardly. Which isn't very surprising, because I am really awkward too. So, I joined this group so I could improve. I'm not entirely sure how this group works, but I was wondering if I could perhaps have a mentor that could give me one-on-ones. If you would like to try to be mine, send me a message or something. I'll send you the story if you think you can stand my horrible writing skills.
Thank you so much for giving me a chance.

I'm not sure how this group is working yet either. I like your idea with one-on-one tutoring. I think that's great. I'm still thinking on how I want to run things and I got to delete a bunch of topics... So yeah.Feel free to drop more suggestions!
Hullo! Like I said on the other topic (and like Connor said) we're still working things out. We'd be happy to help, though!
If you feel brave enough to give in a shot, you could post your writing on here and we can all pitch in to give tips. If not, then no worries. I'm pretty protective of my writing too. ^^

I was bored today, so I wrote a couple of short poems. Please, feel free to check them out and yell at me for being awkward.

Hi, I'm Shannon :DI haven't really been active in this group much so I guess I'm like, a newbie but after my exams I'll try to make more of an effort to be active.
I love composing music and, when I can come up with ideas, writing stories XD
I am a total bookworm, my parents and friends tease me heaps about how I've "read most of the books in the library already" XD
If I stay up any later I might face plant in the keyboard so I'd better go.
Hello all. My name is Keshia, and my FIRST NOVEL will be published next year! (Pauses for Happy Dance!) I'm also a part-time copy editor for an awesome little YA press called Spencer Hill Press. If you write YA Fantasy/sci-fi/romance you should check them out. If you have questions about the press, my book, or really anything else, let me know!
Hi! Welcome to the group! :) What's your book called?
Connor wrote: "Hi thanks for joining the group! I'll have to get that on the list of books to read! :)"You totally should. :) I'll let everyone know when its up on Goodreads!
Hi i'm Catherine, But I hate my name since its very generic. Adding that to my last name, which is Cruz, and you would find a 12 plus entries in the Philippines who had, has and will have the generic name, That is why I prefer the name Cat-cat or Clang. Nice to meet you all and I hope that you would read and critique my stories. I'm always fascinated by it, and my life is submerge to that wondrous world of stories dreams and endless possibilities.

A little about me, if you don't mind. I am a graphic artist who draws and creates digital graphics as well. No pressure, but if you would like to see some of my work, you can by going to:

And recently I became an author, too! My novel, The Dreamshift Chronicles, Broken Dreams, is now available on Amazon.com for both print and Kindle. This is my first novel and I am very excited! There was nothing like getting a copy of my own book and holding it in my hands for the first time! It's been quite an amazing learning process and, frankly, the learning is not finished yet. Not even close!
If you are interested, you can learn more about my novel right here on goodreads.
So, what about all of you? Who are you? If you are new or if you have never taken the time to introduce yourself, why not start now? You can use the Introductions folder just for that. :)
