I am reading The Rice Mother by Rani Manicka. My goal is to finish it this weekend. So far, I like the story and the style of writing.
I'm reading a new series and am only on the second book. Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost I am loving the main character Bones!
I'm currently reading The White Horse King: The Life of Alfred the Great. It but it is a little like reading a textbook. However if textbooks were like this at school I would have not dropped out half way through my A Levels!! Will give a full review when I finish.
I am reading "Morning Glory" by LaVyrle Spencer (a re-read) and "First Grave On The Right" by Darynda Jones. I am loving that book so far. Can't wait to read the next one in the series . . .

I'm kind of scattered at the mpment. I'm reading "The List" by J.A. Konrath, "Duma Key" by Stephen King, and "Catching Fire" by Suzanne Collins. Right now it's slow going as I am in the home stretch of finishing my debut novel.

I've been reading Roses by Leila Meacham, which I love. I also started The Maze Runner by James Dashner.
I am reading Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost and a new book to review, Reflection by Jessica Roberts. Both are very very good!!
I just finished Genghis: Birth of an Empire and loved it!I'm starting Fifty Shades of Grey, my current in person book club pick. Not sure what the hype is but it's a very fast read.
I am currently reading Micro: A Novel. I have always enjoyed Michael Crichton's books in the past, so how could I not read his last one. I'm not sure how much of it is his work, and how much is it Richard Preston.
I'm losing interest in the book I was reading, so I picked up 'Spring Fancy' by LaVyrle Spencer . . .

Priscilla wrote: "This is my first one. It seems to be good so far."Have you seen the movie? Book is so much BETTER
No I have not seen the movie. When did the movie come out? I usually find that I like the books better than the movie versions. So much gets lost in translation.

Im reading Through a Glass Darkly a long one, probably due to the repeating and repeating of each characters thoughts and emotions.....but an ok story so far
I am preparing to move to Bahrain to accept a job as head librarian of a private K-12 school. In addition to the usual non-fiction travel-assortment, I've been re-reading all of the Elizabeth Peters Amelia Peabody mysteries in preparation for life in the Middle East. It appears I shall need a stout parasol, copious quantities of whiskey and soda, and an assortment of disguises. I am glad to know this, as NONE of the standard travel reference materials prepare one for this sort of thing, or for the bizarre proliferation of Master Criminals, Lost Civilisations and tomb robbers I seem likely to encounter.
Tess wrote: "The Scarlet Pimpernel - re-reading for a book club"Ooooooooh, I love the Scarlet Pimpernel! I keep meaning to read the sequels, but I don't have an e-reader, and don't like to read from a computer screen.
