If you're interested in seeing a little behind the scenes at Audible, here's a tour of their offices with Katherine Kellgren as tour guide.

This was awesome! Ah, back in the day (2005 or 2006), I applied for a job with Audible doing marketing research. I lived in Virginia at the time and never received a response. So, I was hoping that it was because they did not want to have to pay moving costs but I have to say I was disappointed in the company that I loved couldn't acknowledge my resume. I've moved past it but wow, it sure looks like a cool place to work. Thanks for sharing.
This is so fun! I love Katherine Kellgren! And Therese Plummer! I'm listening to one by her RIGHT NOW!! I really like her!
WOW - that was really neat! I heard Katherine Kellgren for the first time recently, reading The Death of the Heart. I've enjoyed Therese Plummer as well, though can't recall which title. Layout of the building/offices reminded me quite a bit of the new Seattle Public Library.
Thats grea Katherine Kellgren is one of my favorite narrators odd to hear her regular voice since she is so great at accents especially in the Bloody Jack: Being an Account of the Curious Adventures of Mary "Jacky" Faber, Ship's Boy Series.
Katie is American but went to college in England - so she obviously spent time soaking up all the accents around her!
Hello! I spent 12 years living in London, and get back to visit whenever I can now! I was born in NYC but spent a lot of my young life there, so I sort of go either way in terms of an accent, - but for that video I thought I'd lean more to the American side since we WERE filming in Newark, after all! Thanks for your kind words about my accents. I spent a good part of today recording the dialogue of a drunken cockney music hall singer. Sometimes, I get confused myself!

I love your cockney accent and your singing (you've had alot in the last few Bloody Jack Books)you'll have to come back and let us know what book you are recording!

It sounds like we have an interesting book to watch for. I'm quite intrigued by the drunked cockney music hall singer comment.
Well hello - I'm so happy to be part of the group! Thanks for asking about the book I'm recording! I should maybe elaborate on my comment about the drunken cockney music hall singer, and add that she is a deceased yet still paranormally drunken cockney music hall singer who is haunting an island near Tahiti waiting to rejoin her long-passed piratical paramour. Yep, a typical assignment in strange and curious life of an audiobook narrator...! The book's called Island of Secrets, and I finished it this afternoon - it was lots of fun to record!
Hello Katherine!! I love your narration of the Bloody Jack series and tell everyone to listen to it. I also really liked Her Royal Spyness
. I am actually listening to one of your narrations right now The Undomestic Goddess
. Great to hear from you.
So happy to be in this group - I look forward to talking audiobooks with you all! I'm currently listening to Graham Greene's THE END OF THE AFFAIR read by Colin Firth, and am really loving it! I guess that's something for a different discussion thread, though..! See you on Goodreads!

When story and voice match so well it's FABULOUS!
