July 5th is Caribbean Day- Read a book set in the Caribbean- any of these settings work: Anguilla, Antigua, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bonaire, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Curacao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Jamaica, Martinique, Montserrat, Puerto Rico, Saba, St. Barth's/St Bart’s, St. Eustatius, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Maarten, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, Virgin Islands (BVI & US) and for the purposes of this task, Bermuda.

I am looking for some good recommendations for this task. Anybody that can give me some good ones would be greatly appreciated.

if anyone wants a mystery series that is good and set in the Caribbean - Jaden Skye has one...they all start out with Death by and there are 4 out right now

I haven't read this one yet, but am planning to for this task. It's a new cozy mystery - Adrift on St. John.

I really enjoyed Pirate Latitudes when I read it a few years ago, and for this challenge, I'm planning on reading The Pirate's Daughter. Both are set in Jamaica.

I think Wide Sargasso Sea would also work. I didn't particularly like it, but others gave it high ratings. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's set in Dominica and Jamaica.

One of my book groups had an excellent discussion of In the Time of the Butterflies

For romance fans:) Cherry Adair's Cutter Cay series - and the first two are set in the Carribean islands:

And for mystery fans Stop, You're Killing Me!: in the Caribbean

i'm assuming this one will work since it appears to be travels throughout the caribbean:

I'm probably going to take the easy way out and go with The Reef by Nora Roberts. Takes place in St. Kitts & Nevis (which I had to google... haha!).

I just finished Bodily Harm, which is set on what seems to be the fictitious island of St. Antoine - at least I think it's fictitious since I can't find any info on it. Can I use it for this task?
