If I were in Maddie's position I think by the time I was asked to go to first world I would have no doubts in going.Randall was so wishy-washy it was hard to love him or hate him. I have a problem with his "I was waiting for the right time" approach to revealing information to Maddie but that may be because of how he had been treated by Matilda. I was a bit surprised to see him arrive in First World, but I feel that proved Randy's love for Maddie more than Randall's.
I was pretty surprised to see him show up in First World, especially knowing that he would have to change form to do so.
Yes I would go - who else could?!I don't think my opinion changed... I wasn't surprised to see him "man up" and arrive in 1st world. Motives? Probably to do The Right Thing, and to be with Maddie as she potentially goes to her doom.

Maddie is told to take a literal leap of faith as a way to get to First World. Would you be able to make that leap, not knowing what you may be jumping into but knowing that you must go if you are going to save all the Worlds?
Randall is a character that seems to waver throughout the book. He has kept things from Maddie since the beginning as well as harming his own twain, even if it wasn’t on purpose. But he also claims to love Maddie and says he has just wanted to help her. Does his actions and the consequences of those actions to enter First World to be with Maddie change any opinion you may have had about him? What do you think his motives are?
