I'm a third of the way through, just starting the story within the story within the story, yeah that's right. Not sure how I feel about it just yet.

I was not a tremendous fan of this and The Dark Tower is one of my favorite series of all time. Not enough of the katet, not enough gunplay, too much of the innermost tale.
Marc-antoine wrote: "It was just ok IMO."That's where I'm at with it. I didn't hate it but didn't think it was worth waiting eight years for either.
I'm about halfway through and finding this book really unnecessary. It doesn't give us enough of the ka-tet, Part of it's a flashback from Roland (which, if you were reading this in order with the rest of the series, might be really annoying since it's the same device he uses in book 4) whom I've never thought was that interesting of a character and the folk tale doesn't seem to relate to anything. Maybe it will by the time I'm done.
I finished this book today and found it very disappointing. Here's my review: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
