I really liked Los de Abajos, translated as The Underdogs in English, about the Mexican revolution, and the book reads like a screenplay although was written before movie screenplays were common. When I read this my (then) middle school age son read it in Spanish as I was reading it in English, and we compared notes chapter by chapter.
