Not Just Young Adult discussion

I was just wondering if anyone in the book club has read this book series. I wanted to know if The Reckoning was worth reading. Its the second book in the series. I found the first book frustrating. It was like a root canal, you just wanted it to be over!

I started it but this has to be one of the few books I just couldn't finish and I always finish. Root Canal is a good way of putting it lol.

I am enjoying the Taker, but it is slow.

Well.....it's good , sort of detached though. Some horrible things happen to people in this book but for some strange reason it doesn't bother me. The author writes in such a way that you don't get really involved with the characters. It's long and very descriptive which makes it hard to speed through. :-)
