Readathons Galore discussion

The group's Grand Opening readathon will be from June 1st at 12:00 am to June 10th 11:59 pm.

Just comment here letting me know if you will be participating!! This will also be our chat topic during the readathon for us to post our progress, etc.

The goals you choose are up to you. Can be a book goal, pages, hours, anything that suits you.

I will participate. I will be on vacation for part of that time so that will be exciting.

I'm in! After participating in Dewey's Read-A-Thon which lasts 24 hours I got hooked. It's so much fun to see how many books you can finish when you're cross eyed from feeling tired.

Now I'll just have to think about the number of books I would like to finish.

Kimberley- Awesome! I don't think I've ever done a Dewey's RAT before. I'm not much into 24-hour readathons, but eventually I'll get into one I like.


As for me, I'm not sure what my goals will be either. Being that its 10 days, and not just 7, I'll probably do more than my standard 4 books and 1000 pages.

I'm in. Summer break just started so I'll have more time.

Meghan-- Yeah I'll be getting my pointe shoes soon, which means more time getting used to them and stretching my feet, etc. And July is apparently the month of trips and more stuff to do than I'd like.

I'm glad I am not the only one. I haven't read nearly as much as I normally do. Today is all about reading.

Just finished my first book for June yesterday, Au Revoir Crazy European Chick. It started off a little creepy for me, but it turned out to be absolutely brilliant. It kind of reminded me of Orphan a little bit, but not in the horror movie way.

Started Goddess Boot Camp about an hour ago; loving it so far.

What'd you think of it? I have yet to start that Carter series. Have you read Heist Society & Uncommon Criminals?

I haven't read those yet, but I plan on getting around to them. I liked Hereafter and I am looking forward to what comes next. I actually finished Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy, so I don't think I did too bad this RAT considering. I also just started Hex Hall

I'll have to read Hereafter soon; I've been putting it off forever.

That's a good idea! It would really help everyone jumpstart their month of reading :). Or, we could do a 7-day RAT at the beginning of each month, and then do a 3- or 4-day RAT around the 3rd week of the month? Does that seem like too much?

Hmm, no. We could have two and give people the chance to at least join in on one. =D

By the way, are you participating in Reading Angel's Page Count Contest? I've been doing that. =) Really makes you want to read too. =D
