Rayne inhaled deeply as she and Zach and Dani walked into the pizzeria. "Mmm,"she said. "Nothing better than grease and cheese." But she smiled a little while saying this, although not enough that many would notice. A waitress seated them and handed them menus. Rayne couldn't help noticing how the waitress paid extra attention to Zach and scowled when she saw her. "Well blehh to you too,"she muttered when she was gone.

((Omg yes that would be hilarious! :D and then have Rayne get all jealous lol))Rayne stopped glaring in the waitress' direction and turned to look at Zach. "Hmm... The meat one looks good." She wondered as she looked around how many of the girls there were worried about their weight, and she mentally grinned as she remembered her superfast metabolism. She looked back at him. "What about you?"
The waitress boredly wrote it down, and winked at Zach for the thousandth time as she left. "If she winks one more time..."she muttered irritably. The waitress was getting on her last nerve.
"What, of course not. It's just annoying." When the pizza arrived she grabbed a slice and took a bite. "Mmmmmm." It was delicious. She nudged Zach and said through stuffed mouth, "Try it."she grinned.
((Lol hey wouldn't it be hilarious if Zach.and Rayne kiss somewhere at the school and the people who are walking around the school (for some reason their names escapes me [headmaster, headmistress, etc.]) are walking there at that time and see them? Hahaha XD
Rayne finished chewing and swallowed, frowning at Zach. "Are you kidding? She didn't even clean the table."((Lol okie :D haha))
She narrowed her eyes, but then grinned and poked his arm. "I was too. haha." Finishing her first slice, she started on a second.when she was done eating she leaned back, patting her stomach which she felt.like had gained ten pounds. "Ughhh."
"Well that was attractive,"she teased, waving a hand in front of her face. Then she looked at Dani. "Guys as in"-- she nudged Zach--"guys, or guys as in"-- she moved a hand in a circle--"us guys?"
Rayne rolled her eyes, then laughed. Then she looked at Dani and said, "Easy. I don't gain weight and Zach's just...Zach." she shrugged. She looked at him and poked his stomach, but quickly pulled away when felt hard muscle. Hoping nobody noticed, she covered it with, "Zach's just a pig." Then grinned wickedly
Rayne's face turned red when Zach said this and she looked at the pizza she was pulling random meats and cheeses off of. She mumbled something not audible enough to understand.
Rayne made herself not jump or anything when he touched her leg although she felt like it. She laughed slightly. Jokingly but inwardly serious she smiled and said quietly back, "Quite."
She pushed the mangled pizza away and wiped her hands on a napkin. Then she turned her head to look at him and smiled and kissed his cheek to let him know it was okay.
Rayne didn't know what to say, and the waitress came with a check anyway so she.didn't have to say anything. She had fifteen dollars in her purse, which covered it, and put it in the check. She even left the waitress a tip: one penny. She glanced shyly at Zach, who was still watching her. She smiled.
This surprised her. She looked at him and couldn't help smiling back. "I'd love to,"she said, not at all sarcastically as she usually.said it.The waitress took the check and left.
Rayne nodded and stood after him, and she barely waves goodbye to Dani before they were walking out the door.((Dun dun to the gardens!! *hyper* :DD))
After they sat down at a booth, a waitress came with menus. Shane looked through it and after a moment he asked Zarabeth, "What kind of pizza do you like?"
She glanced at the menue then at him. "Cheese is fine. Or pepperoni." She scrunched her nose. "Basically anything but pineapple."
"Yeah, I've never liked pineapple either." He shrugged. "I'll just get whatever you're getting." He set the menu down.
He nodded, and the waitress came over. He ordered the pepperoni pizza, but wasn't sure what she wanted to drink so he.just ordered them coke. When the waitress left he looked at uer questioning. "I hope coke's okay?" he said.
He looked out the window. "Yeah, it is." When he was outside it wasn't too hot or too cold. It was a good day for the beach, too.
The waitress came out with their Cokes. She set them down on the table and smiled. Zarabeth put a staw in hers and took a sip.
He put his straw in the cup and sipped his Coke. "So, what was your life like before you came to the academy?" He asked, curious.
He was drinking his soda at the time when she said this and he almost spat it out. "Fish?" He didn't know about the fish.
"At first, I came down to the lake just to see what it was like. Then I wanted to know if my cur--ability effected live forms other than humans. I touched a fish and it died. Ididn't know what to do with it, so I dug a grave for it."
"Oh." He nodded slowly, thinking of what to say. He thought someone would just toss the fish away and.leave, not have a burial for it. This girl was...different. "That's nice."
"I felt really bad." She twisted her braclet around her wrist under the table as her stomach growled in hunger.
"It wasn't--" he started to say, but the waitress came back with the pizza and set it down on the table. He picked up a slice and took a bite.
She grabbed one of the smaller slices of pizza and brought it to her mouth to take a bite. "This is really good."
He nodded. "Yeah," he said, finishing off the slice and grabbing another. "Good choice going with pepperoni."
"I haven't had pepperoni in a long time." She ate her whole slice except for the crust. She set that part down on her plate.
"Me neither." After he finished the second slice he drank the rest of his soda. Now he just waited for Zarabeth to finish.
"What? Oh." Shane shrugged. "I was just saying that you shouldn't blame yourself for your touch being lethal."
He nodded slowly. "Okay... Anywhere else you had in mind?" He thought it would be smart to change the subject.
"Do you know of any places? Because I don't." She was glad to get off of the subject of her ability.
"Uh... I remember passing by a bookstore, a cafe, and a boutique," he said. "That's all I can really think of right now."
"Sure." He paid the bill, then stood. They were sitting near the door so he waited there, opening it for her. "After you."
