Diana sighed as she milked the cows. She was of age yet no man courted her. She sighed as her hair was in a braid down her back and her eyes looked at her favorite cow, Lilac. Lilach was a soft grey and seemed to be cheerful for an older cow. Too bad after this milking season Pa would have to butcher her.

Lucia walked near to Diana as she finished with the bees. "Hello, sister Diana," she curtsied.

"Hey, Lu." She smiled at her little sister as she carred the bucket of milk towards the cabin.

"May I help you with that? I just finished with bees," Lucia tried to catch up with her sister.

She smiled, "Ya get the combs, Little Lu? I'll be fine with the milk, but you can help me with supper."

"Okay," Lucia nodded.

She smiled, her long brown hair in a braid down her back. Diana looked at Lucia. "Hey, Lu-Lu, can you promise me sumthin?"

"What is it, Dian?" asked Lucia with one eyebrow lifted.

"Move away from here and more inland once ye be courted and married." She looked at her with soft green eyes. She brushed back her sister's hair with a gentel hand. "Can ye please promise me that?"

"Okay," Lucia gave a smile which is a bit sad.

Diana looked at her. "I think ye is old enough to know that if all ain't resolved soon, blood will be spread."

"Thou know I detest thy word. But I agree, blood will spread," Lucia looked in her eyes.

Diana walked in and put the milk in the cold cellar. She then began to cut the pork. "Yes. Most of the family Detest my word, though they know it's a-true."

"Yes. No doubt. Shall I prepare the table for supper now?" asked Lucia, still following Diana

"Yes, please." Diana smiled and began the soup.

Lucia bowed and headed for the dining room.

Diana smiled and looked up at the ceiling.

Diana looked at her, "Soups done, but the boys ain't home. Wanna go to town to get some toys?"

"I don't want to go there, it's creepy," whined Lucia, arranging the spoons and forks.

Diana smiled, "I'm going to get more fabric so I can make you a new dress. Watch the farm and collect some eggs from the chickens while I'm out."

"Aye," said Lucia, quickly washing her hands and headed for the chicken coop.

Kat just finished checking up the lambs. She sighed. "Only a couple of more to go."

Her brother, Adrien lugged heavy lumber, to a stack of other logs.

Jace wazs lumbering

Kat was tending the sheep now. She smiled a bit and looked up at her brother. "Hey Sorrow." Adrien shot her a look.

Jace went to help ADrien

Diana walked onto the farm with a grin so wide on her face.

"You are quick," Lucia went to Diana.

"I guess." She said with a large grin and fabric in her arms.

"Why, pray tell, do you have a grin so wide on your face?"
