If you find yourself wallowing in a pit of boredom and desperately, desperately wanting to write about something (but you don't know what), then here's the place to come. All you're got to do is post 'Quick! Somebody give me something to write about!' and someone else, when they see your post, will respond with 'Write a [insert genre of story here] about [insert topic(s) here]. You'll be charged with writing about whatever is suggested, no matter how bizarre. After all, you were the one who wanted to write.

Example:

Member A:
Quick! Give me something to write about!

Member B:
Write a fiction story about aliens that contact Earth.


Writers, it would be a good idea to:

1. Put specifications (if you have them) in your post if you are asking for a suggestion. Ex: "Quick! Give me something to write about--but no inappropriate topics, please."

2. Show the group what you write if you take a suggestion. We all probably want to see. :)

3. Gain inspiration from this topic.

Quick! Give me something to write about-preferably set in London.

Write a historical fiction story about a young girl living in London during 1600s, trying to overcome the limitations placed on women at the time.

Danke.

Quick! Someone give me something to write about! Preferably something I can make a short horror story out of.

Write a horror story about two friends turning on each other!

Write a dramatic/tragic story involving broken hearts and shattered dreams and memories of the 'good old days'.

I love story with an elf

An elf? LOL...okay. I just wrote one about Zombies, a spork and a small child that someone suggested on twitter. I'll get onto the elf love story soon.

I only read fiction, not write, but I often write scientific works. I also have periods when I get stuck in writing and I usually just pause in writing and go to rest. I would also like to add that I use https://gradesfixer.com/citation/ieee/ in my work to properly format the citation of other authors. I am also writing some work on this site, so ask for help if you have problems with an essay or anything else.

If you're looking for something to write about, why not try The Goodreads Short Story competition each month? They provide a subject to write about and you do the rest. It's stimulating and gives you the opportunity to write on different topics.
