The radio made parks turn into forests with beasts and other things

Bella and Ryan had been wondering about the city for days. The people they, well, Ryan had saw we're know where to be found. They had reached this park and they both knew this was their new home. 'Ryan!' Bella said tugging on the hand if her 'big brother'. 'Ryan, there's a big tree just off the edge of the park where we can stay. Can we go, please!' She added looking up at where rouphly she thought Ryan's eyes were (she is blind so she has no idea). Bella had know idea why she could feel the tree but she just could. It as like every natural life force was giving off a faint arua that only she could see. She could walk blindly in this forest but know exactly where everything was, down to the last ant. It was weird.
'Umm....I don't know how you know that Bella but ok, if your sure let's try it huh?' Ryan said uncertainly but he held Bellas had tightly and began to walk that way anyway. He had found that when Bella told him something like this, she was usually right. It was like she was connected to the forest and could sense it.....

Elliot wandered though the forest, traveling for days and looking for supply's, Hearing the crunching of the leaves under his feet. He needed to barter some more bullets, freshwater and bandages in the next town he came by, however long that may take him.
Suddenly, he heard a noise and looked to his left to see two figures walking though the trees, quickly he took out his revolver and put the 3 last remaining bullets into them and looked down the sight. "Get on the ground!" He yelled as he fired a warning shot across the taller figure, hitting a tree.

Tyra didn't see where she was going, just ran flat out. She collapsed on the ground clutching her side, gasping. Right now she was too tired to see where she was, or even if everyone had survived. She was never going to eat a crab again. She snuck a quick look behind her to make sure they had lost it. And then sighed deeply, putting her head on her knees.

Bells heard the crunching of leaves under somethings foot before Ryan did (she has amazing hearing since she is blind). 'Ryan!' Bella said panicking, 'Theres someone watching us, a human, the forest is telling me. Ryan move!!' Bella screamed as she felt the trees in the forest scream a warning at her. Bella ducked and felt Ryan pushing down on her, covering his body with hers at the shit hit a nearby tree. Since Bella was connected to the forest she screamed in pain as the tree was hit, the trees pain was her pain. It was agonising, she could faintly hear Ryan shouting at the person and rocking Bela singing a lullaby to her.

As they walked, Ryan could hear the faint whispers of thoughts brushing against his mind. He new this was the minds of the beasts and tried to ignore them, it was hard. Because of this he only really registered that Bella was talking to him when she screamed at him. Ryan heard the whistle of the bullet and pushed Bella to the ground, covering her body with his. He would give hus life for Bella so he was going to be so angry at the person. Suddenly, Bella screamed. Ryan thought she had been hit but then saw it had hit a tree. Ses feeling it pain! Ryan thought and tenderly gathered her into his arms and sang a lullaby to her, not before shouting a lot of very colourful phrases at the person.

Elliot ran over to the two figures. "Freeze, im just passig through and I really don't want any troub... Is she ok?" He saw the girl on the ground, tears in her eyes.

Tyra finally looked up to see what all the commotion was about. She slowly got up into a crouch and held still listening hard. She had had enough adventure and excitement for one day! She moved forward and saw a guy holding a gun pointing at something in the trees. A faint lullaby reached her ears. Her eyes flashed red. She debated her options. She could go back the way she came...and become crab food. She could walk up to the person holding the gun and surprise him so that he'd put a bullet in her, or she could go around him and check out what was singing. There was another option. Get the hell out of here and take a round-about though safe route to the city, and of course that was not even an option. So, to the lullaby it was. She turned around slowly and made her way into the cover of trees, not a single leaf crunching under her lithe footsteps.

'No she's not ok you idiot! And if your 'just passing through' and 'don't want any trouble' then why the heck did you shoot at my sister!!' Ryan said angry at the boy. 'Just....help me get her up, oh, and always keep her on the ground.' Ryan said as he gently put Bella on the ground and stood up, eye level with the boy just before reaching down to grab Bella.

Elliot stuttered. "I didnt even hit her, and i was only using this *points to gun* because ive been jumped before..." He took off his sachel and gave the boy a bottle of water. "Im real sorry ok? My names Ellio-" His train of thought was interupted by some movement in the bush close to them, his cat-like eyes locking on to the shadow and he raised his gun again. "Hey, whoevers in the bush, come out!"

Tyra straightened up and came out with her hand half raised. "Coming! Coming!" She looked down at the girl in the boy's hands. "Oh. She got hit?" She asked raising an eyebrow. It was marvelous how casual she looked even with a gun pointed at her.

'Ok, it alright, I understand.' Ryan said to the boy. 'Thanks,' He said when the boy handed him some water, 'And hello Ellio. I'm guessing you mean Elliot.' he said as he made Bella drink some water and sit up. He wasn't even paying attention to the new girl who just appered. Only when she asked if Bella got hit did he pay attention. 'No.' she said looking up at them both. I't's just, well, dosn't matter' Ryan said focusing his attention back to Bella but not before noticing two things, one, she looked extremely casual for someone with a gun pointed at there head and two, she also happend to be the girl they saw when they went scouting for survivors after the meteorite hit.
Suddenly, apparently out of the blue, a wolf beast came crashing though the underbrush to stop beside them. Hi Luke! Ryan thought as he patted the beast. Take Bella back home ok? He asked as he sent Luke a mental pic of the place. Alright boss! Luke said and he bounded off with Bella on his back. Then Ryan turned to look calmly at the two new people.

Elliot holstered the .44 magnum. "Yea, sorry about all that...". He then turned to the new girl, and put his hand out. "Haha, no hard feelings eh? These eyes spot everything and i wasn't sure if your a enemy or what-not" He grinned, his eyes shimmering golden as the cat-like pupil grew larger and smaller, adjusting to the light. "So, what bring you guys here?"

'Wow, theyre awesome!' Rayn said excitedly. 'All I get are these....' he said holding up his hand and showing the thin, pale webbing connecting each finger. 'What about you?' he asked the new girl. 'Oh, my names Ryan by the way. The little one was Bella.'

Elliot grinned. "Pleasure to meet you Ryan, sorry about Bella and all..."

'Oh it's alright.' he said absently swatting his hand, 'You didn't even shoot her.'

He nodded. "Okay, well, where are you guys going? As i have to restock and find some materials..."

'Back home.' Ryan said absently. 'You?' he asked the girl. 'And by the way, I might know a place where you can get bullets and materials.'

"Oh, do tell me more?" Ryan asked, now sitting on the ground doing an inventory check on his satchel while chewing on some dried fruit.

((Ryan asked? Don't you mean Elliot?))

'Well,' Ryan said also sitting down and taking out some food and patting the ground next to him for the girl to sit down then offering her food, 'On the other side of this park there is a big abandoned army training camp. It has everything you could need. We used it once or twice...'

((LOL, sorry, yea))
He nodded. "Hm, ok, I guess that would work...". Elliot stood up and pointed to Ryan. "So, care to lead?"

((LOL! Thought so! :-D I was also thinking maybe we should wait until Apps have replied since her charrie is here but hasn't said anything..we should let her catch up.))

Violet was still running for her life when she got to the park. She looked around and saw two boys and a girl, one of the boys had a gun that didn't look good. 'well I am not going back there.' she thought looking back behind her at the way she came running from the crab. She leaned up against a tree and felt her scar. She then felt something drop onto her hand, she looked at it, it was a spider, but this one was different, deciding she didn't want it to bite her she flick her hand to get it off. She heard a crack. She looked behind her and looked around for the thing that had made the sound. Nothing. She looked at the ground and saw a crack in the dirt.

"Well, now that you guys have gotten all cozy and comfy, what next?. I'm Tyra by the way. Permanent resident. Ever get you're hands on something intresting, lemme know." She gave them a grin, her eyes chose that moment to flash red. She had the distant sense, that she had seen the elder one somewhere, but she couldn't really be sure. "So, you guys are going to the army bunker?" She hadn't been there in a while, but she remembered all the kinds of locks and traps set there. Suddenly tyra heard a crack, more of a ruble somewhere. She turned around and saw Violet...with what looked like an earthquake crack in the ground...and a spider on her hand. "Violet! You're alive!" She jogged up to her and calmly flicked the spider off her hand. "What happened?"

((Um...So, should Violet and Tyra tag along with Ryan and Eliot or go their own way?))

"I ran for it." violet mumbled looking at the crack(she doesn't know she has her power), she looked up at Tyra and smiled, then her face darkened, "I don't know what happened to the others." her eyes drifted towards the crack in the ground, wondering if that was the crack she heard.

Elliot grunted. "Er, so... are we going to be going as a group or what? we could split up and meet back here in, say, 12 hours?" He coughed. "Im keen to go with anyone..."

((Hey Hey!! Elliot open right? Can Tyra have him??))

Tyra gave Elliot the you-are-nuts look. She was goot at those. "Most definitely not. The second option I mean. In another twelve hours it'll be the dead of the night and we'll make make really good mid night snacks for god know what kinds of monsters." She exchanged a look with Violet. She knew they both had had enough of being tried to eaten. "I know the way to the bunkers but then so does Ryan it seems. There are a lot of traps. If you want, we'll come. Other wise I just wanna go home and crash" She didn't know what she wanted to do, but she knew she definitely had to quiz Violet about that crack, because she was sure as hell it wasn't there before.

Voilet looked up, "hi" she said to the two boys, "name's Violet, Violet Lightfoot." she smiled. "I have had enough of trying to get eaten by huge monsters, so I am not staying here in the dead of night. I say we all go so we have a better chance of surviving."

((have him as in HAVE him, or partner up to adventure?))
"Well, if its ok with you guys, I need some stuff for a modification ive been working on, and some more water couldnt do any harm, so I would like to go to the bunker." Ryan groaned, "and by-the-way.. Tyra, was it? Im not nuts!"

((As in have a crush on him.))

"Oh. So you are not nuts? My bad. I thought anyone who wants to go to unknown places in the dead of the night had to be nuts." She nodded sagely. "Well if you insist on us comming, I can't very well refuse now can I?" She arched her back and heard the satisfying popping, for effect. She was cool with going with them, looking forward to it even. She had lived alone for too long she decided, and wanted some company. "Don't worry about water, I can make it rain." She said grinning mischievously.

"she has got a point," looking at the boy, "I don't think you told me your name?"

"Now, I dont know weather (pun intended) to take that seriously or as a saying, but, if you want to come, sure thing. I could use some company" Ellis grinned, its been a while since he's had company with him. It will be a good change. "So, just to clear things up, who has what... er, power thing?

"Oh, sorry, my name Ellis..." He grinned, shaking the girls hand.

She shook his hand back, "nice to meet you."

Elliot ((Not Ellis, sorry, im tired)) clapped his hands. "So, we heading off now?"

((I also said ryan in the above post too, damn, im being more careful now))

"that would be good, but what did you mean about powers?" she asked, not knowing what he was meaning.

Elliot sighed. "You didn't see the girl and the wolf? the girl saying she can make it rain? Even I have something, but I am yet to figure it out properly yet, besides the eyes." He points to his eyes, they almost glow in the sun. "Heck, that girl has webbed hands!!"

"He meant this." Tyra said, using her power over air to whip Violet's hair around in a crazy dance. "The radiation made us mutate in strange ways that we have no hopes of understanding. I have control over air. What's yours?" She asked turning to Elliot.

Elliot smiled. "I'm actually unsure, I know about my eyes already, but that just a change in my eyes genetic makeup to that of a cat, or Apex-predator, not a power for-say. If i could get to a hospital or a Doctors office, i could run some tests to try and understand better. my mum was a professor on genetic mutation, so its easier for me to understand."

"that's cool, that you have these powers, but I am normal, I can't do anything." she said looking up at them.

Elliot nodded, "Thats cool, Why dont we head off now?"

"yeah, I don't want to be monster food." Violet said looking at them.

'Well, 1) Hi Tyra, Violoet and Elliot! My names Ryan. The little girl on the wolves back, that was Bella. 2) Well, there's a difference between a power and mutation. I am getting webbed hands as a mutation and Bella is blind. As for powers, I can communicate with the beasts, which as you can image, is extremely useful. Bella has thus weird nature sort if power, she can talk to the plants and sense their auras and stuff.' Ryan said as he got up off the ground, brushed his hands on his jeans and gave everyone some food them stuffed the rest in his backpack. 'Come on, we should probs get going. It would take us at least an hour to cross this forest to get to the army base. Oh, and while on the way I'm getting Bella at our home ok? Let's go!' Ryan said and then started walking off into the forest not looking to see if they were following him.

Elliot grunted. "We better follow him..." and started walking towards Ryan. "Yiu two coming?" he said, smiling.
((ok, I'm going to bed, I'll start the next post in the army base tread when I go time, or someone else can feel free to do that))

Aragorn walked into the park with his cloak on and hood up. In his belt was his sword, ready to pull out and fight. He looked around, he saw lots of things that were burned down.
