Never really been into comics or graphic novels, probably because their depiction of women grosses me out, but maybe y'all have some recs for me!

The Sandman series by Neil Gaiman is great, though there is some rough stuff in some issues. I'm also a big fan of Y: The Last Man and Fables. There's also Persepolis, which is autobiographical. And most of Alan Moore's stuff is pretty good - I've read From Hell and Watchmen, at least, and liked those. I don't know as much about more superhero type comics, though I've heard very good things about Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, and also good things about Gail Simone's work.
