Basic Conversational French
You just gave me reason to worry.
At the rate I’m learning, it will be years before I can join this thread, but the group badly needs one--if only so I can try to follow it!
Bonjour, mon amis! For now, I have to use a mix of google translate and my books, because my dictionary doesn't have all the words I'm looking for.

Amen to that. I recognize the word you. And vous is we or something like that right????
Gahhhhh! French!Ummm...
Ouais! Allez-vous nous envoyer à la France? Parce que je soutiens pleinement cela.
I hope I said that right.
Reply to #8: We aren’t here to learn French. I was just curious to see who in the group knew some. I knew Alex had studied it. I think Guy speaks French. Clearly, Kyra speaks French. I don’t know French well enough to speak it or write it. I’ve been reading Anne Rice’s Interview With the Vampire in French, but it’s been slow going. It seemed it might be fun to have a thread where anyone who feels like spouting off in French (or in Latin or German or any other foreign language) could feel free to do it.
Deutsch?? Ich verstehen nicht sehr viel. Dich verstehen Deutsch? Ich lerne(If I even said that right....I tried to learn German a few months ago but I didn't get very far before I got occupied with other things.)
Alex (Al) wrote: "Ah, Deutsch! Früher habe ich, dass zu studieren.I think that's right. It's been a while and I'm using a mixture of my German book, google and my own knowledge."
Ich verstand, kaum... Ich merken nicht sehr viel.... :(
Dich studieren Deutsch?
Hahaha. The only thing I remember without thinking hard for 10 minutes is "I don't understand very much German." That's why it took me forever to type that last one... And decipher your post :p
There's exactly one more month until I'm twenty. I'm freaking out. I'm starting to feel old!"
You're only 19? I thought you were 21. *cough cough* I wonder why :p

I don’t know F..."LOL!!! Me speaking French... Oh, that's funny!!! I have a translator on my computer. But my nine-year-old sister is learning French. XD
Alex (Al) wrote: “There’s exactly one more month until I’m twenty. I’m freaking out. I’m starting to feel old!”That makes me sick.
Alex (Al) wrote: "Yes, I don't know why that surprises so many people. Everyone I meet thinks I'm in my mid-twenties. It's rather strange. I don't drink often and I've never been drunk, but I love wine. I'd drink ..."
Strange??? I thought you were in your mid-twenties, and I haven't even met you in person before.
Oh man.... You guys crack me up.M, you thought Al was in her thirties?? WOW!
Kyra, that made me laugh much harder than it probably should have. It's a good thing I've got the house to myself.
Al, I just found the alcohol funny. I wasn't judging, I've got no room to judge.
If we speak other languages in this thread, though, the name would have to be changed. XDMy favourite word in any other language-kaapiturumaviit? :D
MY NEIGHBORS TOO!!!! They've got kids spilling from their ears! And they've always got music blaring so loud that I can hear it in my house. (You know that's loud.) Not to mention my bedroom is an add-on to the house. A poorly constructed add-on at that! The lightswitch is seven feet down the wall from the door, the AC doesn't work in here, and it's too hot in summer, too cold in winter! Anyways, point of bringing up my bedroom: it's the closest room in the house to the neighbors. -_-
(I don’t know whether gentil should be masculine or feminine in this context.)
In case there’s anybody other than me who can’t access the strange letters by means of number codes, here are some you can use by copying and pasting them to your word processor:À à Â â
XD
