Alissa walked quietly around and sat in the damp ground. She smelled in the sweet air. She first took a deep breath to calm herself, then laid her gentle hands on the ground. She tied herself to the earth, just as her mother had told her to do. Her feeling melted away, just as they always have durning her growing. Her hands tingled slightly on the dirt. She concentrated harder, pulling things up from the ground. She pictured in her mind a beatutiful lilly, one of pink and red. She willed it up out of the ground, watching it grow to full length.((PS: Sarah, I didn't know if they had magical growing powers, like I posted here, or if they just grew things. Please tell me if this is acceptable or not. Thank you!))
((That's perfect, what you did there! Yes, that's what I meant. I mean, they don't grow things like farmers, they grow it straight from nothing. That's exactly what I meant. XD))
((I'm not even supposed to be on now.. hehe..))Alissa opened her eyes and touched the petals of the flower softly. She bent down and smelled it. She loved the smell of lilies, they were her favorite. She smiled and sat back on her heels, being surronded by her favorite things, flowers.
Alissa looked around the growing range, realizing she was the only one there. She sighed, placing her hands in the ground again. This time she pictured an orchid, one of blue and green. They were rare and hard to grow, but she loved them. She pressed her hands harder as she felt the familar tug in her core when she grew hard things. It was a rush to grow hard things. She gritted her teeth as she tried to will the orchid up from the ground. She was shaking, falling apart. No one knew how hard it was. She balled up her fists and willed harder, her eyes filling with tears. Soon enough a tiny seed sprouted from the ground. She was almost out of breath, her body failing her. She closed her eyes as she pulled it to full length. Once it was done she sat back. She was gasping for breath, sweating like crazy, and she felt like she was about to pass out, but it was all worth it. She had grown a blue-green orchid. One of the most rare and beautiful, one of the hardest to make. And what she was most proud of, she hadn't passed out trying like she had last time.
Alissa laid on the ground, her body exhasted. That growing of the orchid pulled from the last of her strength. She slowly sat up, but even a small movement like this exhausted her further. It was unbearable. She opened her eyes abrutly when she felt a light tap on her shoulder. Alissa turned to see a small girl. She had blonde curls and was in her bare feet. Her small light colored ears were popped upright on the top of her head. She gave a wide smile and handed me a cup. It had some water in it and I drank it gratefully. The girl tugged at Alissa's arm, so Alissa, slowly but surely, stood. Alissa looked. "Yes?" She asked, and the girl just pointed to the healing range. She wanted me to get healed. Alissa didn't think healers could heal exhaustion, but she might as well try. With the little girl pulling her along, she made her way to the healing range.(Continued in Healing Range.)
Alissa came back quietly. Her eyes bright and shining. She had never felt better. She walked through the flowers her fingers brushing the soft petals. They felt like silk, thats why she'd always love them. She saw a small wilted one, that had probably been dead for a while. She knelt beside it and placed her fingers at its roots. She pulled up from there and traced the flower. As she touched each part she poured some magic into it. When her fingers touched the plant and color and life spread up it, as if following her fingers, like they were drawn to them. She smiled, opening her eyes. "Good as new." She muttered, and stroked the plant. She stood up, gazing over the vast field of color.
However, in this 'vast field of color', there was a patch of very tall Savannah grass where Neko was lounging, and weaving herself a tiara made of thin green vines and freshly woven grass. She had cut herself twice on the sharp blades, but just stuck her fingers in her mouth when unnecessary. She didn't mind after all, and she preferred not to leave her cool spot. It was one of her favorite places. The delicious scents, and relaxing pulse of the earth, and the serenity and of the entire place. She giggled to herself and finished up her circlet, placing it around her ears and above her head. She straightened her back and put on a queenly air.
"This war-" she announced in a pompous tone, "Is oh-vah!" she laughed and laid back on the ground, "Oh, if only."
Alissa saw Neko and stood on her toes to wave to her. Her hand made quick short choppy movement as she waved. She made her way through the the grass to get to Neko. "Why, hello." She said.
Alissa sat down as she waited for Neko to answer. Her crossed her legs and tapped nonchalantly on the ground. Her purple eyes gazed up at Neko, still waiting for her to reply. So, she said something elso. "How are you, Neko?"
((*sigh* I'm on it Sarah. Dang I hate that rule.))Neko snapped her hat over her ears and woven crown and slid her dirt colored gaze over to Alissa. Her eyes burned like lit parchment and her tail flicked uneasily behind her.
"Oh, you know." she said, "I've got my feet in the dirt and my ears in the clouds." she told her, her tone a little bit more fiery than her gaze.
So much for peace and tranquility! Alissa could annoy a mama bunny and her offspring straight out of a burrow that they'd reproduced in for sixty generations! Honestly! And trampling right over someone's grass how rude, and not even waiting for a reply to begin the conversation, sheesh.
Alissa flinched back uncertain what to reply. She glanced at her flowers. It was so tempting to run away and hide among the flowers like she always used to. She set her gaze hard and smiled, though it wasn't kind. "Thats good." She muttered. "Good luck with your training." She turned around weaved her way back to her flowers, carefully not stepping on any grass.
Alissa felt sad, once again. She ran away, like always. To go hide in her flowers. She groaned and rolled her head back. She made small indentions in the dirt with her fingers. Random images she didn't even understand. She closed her eyes and sighed, pulling out an old tattered Notebook she had kept through all these year. She made wishes in it. She could talk to it through writing. It didn't judge, didn't tell her secrets, and it didn't turn her away, because it couldn't speak. Her note this time was short and simple. She wrote: I wish I had courage. Enough to be myself, the fun happy person I should be. I wish i could be outgoing, strong, and passionate, like my sister, Thalia. I also wish I would be noticed, not for just me being the wierd shy girl hiding among her flowers, but for someone who actually makes a difference in this world. She finished scribbling and wiped the small tears that had formed at the corners of her eyes away. She snapped it shut and pushed it into her back pocket.
