Of the choices above, I'd like to try "The end of Mr Y"...I read a preview and it caught my attention. I'll think about some possible suggestions to throw into the mix...
I'm thinking we'll start a poll Monday or Tuesday (25th or 26th) with three choices (and an option for "Not reading the monthly selection next month").If you have any other ideas throw them into the ring over the weekend!
I'd like to read The Ghosts of Belfast, which is a crime thriller, Irish and a series, all favorites of mine. The Ghosts of BelfastAnother book that I love to read this time of year, every few years, is Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver. Prodigal Summer
Another one that looks interesting to me is Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. I love a good narrator. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close
I also wouldn't mind if anybody wanted to join me in reading A Game of Thrones, The Pillars of the Earth, or The Thirteenth Tale, so we could discuss...but I'm open to anything!
I might skip Extremely loud, at least two of us (me and Candise) have read it. I thought Everything is Illuminated was quite a bit better. I have both if you'd like to borrow them. I'll be putting up a poll tomorrow so anybody else feel free to throw ideas in the ring!
I'd read any of the choices, but "The End of Mr Y" and "Swamplandia" would be on the top. Suzie, I read the "The Thirteenth Tale" and really enjoyed it. "The Pillars of the Earth" is one of my very favorites.

Can't wait!

Michelle rolled the die this morning, our official selection is...
The Ghosts of Belfast
Thanks to everyone who voted! We will bring forward some of the other selections next month as choices.
