Oh yes, like I said I loved that book. It was the first foodie book I ever read and it got me hooked. Love the setting, the characters and the love story was great. It's kind of Cyrano De Bergerac but with food instead of words.

by Anthony Capella on my tbr list because of your recommendation. I am really excited about reading it.
The Wedding Officer: A Novel of Culinary Seduction is a wonderful book. Where as The Food of Love is basically a romp around Rome and a romantic love story The Wedding Officer: A Novel of Culinary Seduction is much more serious. There is plenty of romance of course but the story is on a much grander scale. It starts out in Naples during World War 2 so the war figures largely in the story as do the deprivations endured by the Italians at that time. Having said that the food described sounds mouthwateringly gorgeous. I hope you enjoy it.
