Bringing Anorexia Nervosa Into Focus! discussion

Just thought I'd put the first discussion up. My dad's accused me of being anorexic before though I am a healthy weight, he did this cuz I eat a lot of fruit and am a vegetarian. Just wondering if anyone knows anyone who suffers from anorexia. I guess its also hard to know if someone is just skinny or mentally opposed to food.

My dad thought my sister had anorexia at one point (he hardly knows my sister and I. My parents are separated.) She's not. She has some issues where she'll often feel sick if she eats certain foods, so she has to be careful and often won't eat too much. But she's not anorexic and she's not too thin. Other than that, I don't know anyone who's anorexic.

My mum's just told me that she used to be friends with a soon-to-be anorexi who she lost contact with. When she talked to another of her old friends she got told the woman had died of starvation.

Well, I'm often accused of it purely because I'm skinny, but I just have a ridiculously high metabolism, I eat loads! But one of my friends used to have anorexia. Now she's finally at a healthy weight again, she feels that she's too fat. I'm assuming she'll go back to being too skinny again, so I'm keeping an eye on her.

That's what friends are for, right? :o)

Almost all of my friends call me anorexic, and I think my parents think so too. I don't think I am, but if I am, I want to make sure I don't go crazy out of control with it.
