I might add that all of the female characters in Monster Hunter International (at least the first two, I haven't read the third and fourth) are given equal importance to their male counterparts... allowed to be heroic and kick monster but, yet, manage to keep their feminine grace and charm.

So, i'll add to the list, Julie Shackleford, and, even though she's a villain, Susan.

And of course Owen Z. Pitt is a fun hero.
