Divergence discussion

I read somewhere of what faction will be on the cover, but I can't remember. Anyone know? And if it's only going to be a trilogy, wouldn't that kinda be unfair to the other 2 factions?

I hope it stays a trilogy. ATM I cant take anymore too long series...they end up being horrible.

I cant wait for the third one. I hope the cover it as cool as the other two cause i like them. I dont think it would be unfair actually. Because they only pick the important ones for the cover that its mostly about. and all of the factions are talked about maybe some are destroyed or something like that.

Definitely agree but after the second book erudite is trying to become one power don't you think that they wouldn't put it on a cover if it's going against all of them and the faction less is clearly a big deal now so they can't leave it out if they do all the symbols

I think that's true about the symbols and them working together but I don't think all of them will work together I think one will be over ruled or something like that.

I dunno... I, for one, hope that Erudite's will be one the cover.

Yea... What I really want is for there to be 3 more books... That way all of them get their symbols on a cover.

If you follow the divergent fansite, they will notify you with e-mails on any Divergent related news. On their website under the News tab there should be an article somewhere about the third book. There is a teaser cover and teaser summary.

I loved divergent, insergent wasnt all that great in my mind though. I skimmed a lot and feel like i need to re read it, im terrifyed and excited at the same time with the 3rd book. I just want Tris and Four to be together and happy >.<

I guess in all trilogies the first book is always the best...like with the Hunger Games, the Maze Runner, etc...

Abnegation's the helping hand symbol. I think what you meant is Amity, their symbol is the tree from Insurgent. :)

oh okay...but the wave ?

There are many theories about the wave on the cover. Mine is that the wave signifies the washing away of the old factions and the entrance of a new world for tris, Tobias, and co. to live in. Also since there are no more factions, or at least that's what I'm thinking after Insurgent, it would make sense not to have a faction symbol on the cover.

It is interesting that you guys are talking about the cover with the water symbol. The covers we have here in South Africa have different are different. The first book had three ravens flying away from a silhouette of a girl. The second had three leaves burning and falling to the ground. Maybe it has something to do with the Amity Orchids like your cover has the Amity symbol.
But the third book has three moths fluttering around...
just saying it got me thinking.

I feel like a dear character will die soon in the third book. I know it looks like that it might be impossible or possible but I think Christina will die or get killed. . .just a wild guess but it seems like it.

Or what if she has to make an choice Christina or something else. If she chooses wrong Christina Bye-Bye :(

I'd like there to be a prolog at the end when they ave kids and are grown up then they die...... I could live with that. But I HATE Caleb he's another Nate (LOL inside joke).

Just my opinion, though. Like, maybe tris could just like die trying to battle Jeanine or somethin'. Lol.

And if one of the main characters would die the books would certainly become very special ! As it doesn't happen very often I think it could only be positive. (and don't think I'm keen on seeing Tris or Four dying... but it surely would be somthing new and different from all the other bookseries !!)

I feel like Roth is going to leave us with a bang. Something drastic is going to happen for sure. Wouldn't be surprised if one of the main supporting characters gets killed off. However in an interview Roth said that there weren't going to be a lot of battle scenes... Idk I'm sooo excited!!

Isn't this the last book....... what if she does something really dramatic and she does kill off a main character :(. I hope there's a prolog.
