Eric Pettis Hey guys. I just wanted to introduce my book to the forums. A few months ago I came out with Just A Minor Perspective - my story of the awkward transition from amateur to professional baseball. I would love to open up a discussion about it for those who have or are interested in reading it. On Amazon (http://tinyurl.com/6n6defp) you can read the first two chapters for free to whet your appetite. Thanks and look forward to hearing what you have to say!

Happy Reading,
Eric Pettis

Eric,
Do you attribute your success thus far in book sales to your blog? For an unknown writer and, forgive me, an unknown ball player, you have done amazingly well.
I don't mean to imply that the book itself isn't good-only that you have risen very quickly in rankings.I look forward to reading it after I finish my current book.

I'm not quite sure exactly what to attribute to the success of the book. All I can say is that I have done a lot of leg work trying to raise awareness of it's existence. I have also been lucky to make connections with other authors/bloggers who have helped me along the way.

When it comes to promotion I believe that everything - no matter how small - counts. You never know what will springboard your book and what won't, but the more connections you can make along the way the better. Become more accessible as an author and the readers will come.
